Promo piece on a non-notable book. None of the sources cited meets WP:GNG, and a search finds nothing better. (The closest we get is the Tribune piece listed under external links, but that alone isn't enough.) • Comment According to WP:BKCRIT, a book may be considered notable if it has won a major literary award. According to the current revision, the Indian government has awarded 'Rahul Sankrityayan Award' for the year 2018–19. There's the page Mahapandit Rahul Sankrityayan Award, which might be that award.   Thank you; I did consider that. But as the award is genre-specific (travel writing), and national only at that, I don't think it is particularly 'major'. • Comment I don't consider the Rahul Sankrityayan Award enough for NBOOK#2 -- my mental scale for a "major" prize is more like the Booker Prize or at least Governor General's Awards. It looks like the Sahitya Akademi Award would be the more "major" option in India. Moreover, it would be truly strange for a book to win a major award without getting the two reviews needed for NBOOK#1. (I think NBOOK#2 is useful largely for quite old books where it's hard to find the reviews.) So, I haven't done enough research to confidently say "delete", but I wouldn't say "keep" without two reviews located. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 02:08, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
