Craig Duffy
Autobiography of non-notable businessman and snooker and poker player who does not satisfy general notability. Nothing in the article refers to significant coverage by independent sources. An article on this person has already been discussed and deleted once at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Craig Duffy (entrepreneur), and nothing has changed except that the subject/author continues to be persistent.
A review of the references shows that they are all database entries of the sort that have been deprecated even for major sports such as association football and baseball. Cue sports have never had a special notability guideline, although they have a lengthy notability essay which does not provide any specific basis for individual notability other than general notability. So neither the article nor the references provide significant coverage.

Moved from draft space to article space at least twice and moved from article space to draft space at least once. Now that it is in article space again, AFD is in order. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:53, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

- Just an FYI this is not the first AFD. I'm not sure about how snooker plays into notability so I'm not casting a vote yet but I would still lean heavily toward delete. PRAXIDICAE🌈 18:58, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Delete: The thorough reference analysis shows that this is not a notable person. Per nom's Analysis and failure of WP:BIO 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:54, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment I looked in the Wikipedia library, and it seems like Duffy gets non-trivial coverage in several items in the Gold Coast Bulletin, e.g. "Snooker king Duffy calls shots and snaps up venue's home for $7.2m" (30 October 2015), "Where are they now?" (19 September 2015), "Inside the Gold Coast's Memphis Mafia" (3 December 2016), "The Cast of the Strip Club Fight" (12 May 2018) and "Snooker star puts centre on market" (22 March 2013). Not sure whether this would meet the GNG requirements, but perhaps another editor with Wikipedia Library access would like to have a look. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 08:59, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Delete, as nommed. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:49, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep. Has been the subject of significant coverage in relaible sources. Doesn't seem to be a notable sportsperson but his post-sporting careers have garnered significant coverage over several decades. He has had significant write-ups in national publications like The Australian Financial Review, Business Review Weekly and The Australian. He has received significant regional coverage in The Gold Coast Bulletin for his contribution to the nightlife of the Gold Coast. Hack (talk) 04:42, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

- Delete I worry about all these there is coverage comments that present, wait, no coverage. It's nice that he owns the Tipsy Pig, but Mr Duffy is not notable as a WP:SPORTBASIC or as a WP:NBUSINESSPERSON. Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 11:51, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- Delete fails WP:SPORTBASIC and the sourcing analysis proves that WP:GNG is not met. Best, GPL93 (talk) 15:42, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
