Fails WP:GNG. The BBC source is not enough for a stand-alone article on Wikipedia Wikic¤l¤gyt@lk to M£ 11:37, 18 January 2016 (UTC) Speedy keep per sources provided below. Wikic¤l¤gyt@lk to M£ 14:17, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

- Comment Glad to see someone so intimately involved in building up Wikipedia's African coverage has been attracted by this article. I have not yet had much time to expand on it yet but will be returning to it later. I take your comments in a constructive spirit but I must say I am surprised you are critical of such an assertive source as that from the BBC. Indeed, it picks her out as a major contributor to the music scene in Africa and is based on an entire programme devoted to her work. Not many Kenya musicians have enjoyed such coverage.--Ipigott (talk) 12:12, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- It is true that Kenyan musicians rarely enjoy such coverage but that alone is not enough to meet either WP:GNG or WP:MUSICBIO. Wikic¤l¤gyt@lk to M£ 12:18, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- Keep The BBC article is enough for me to indicate notability.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:09, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- Keep. Notability is established, per above. Systemic bias is a bug, not a feature, and nominator should knock it off. The Drover's Wife (talk) 13:39, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- Comment: @Dr. Blofeld and The Drover's Wife:, I don't see how a single source will establish notability. Per WP:GNG, a topic is presumed to be notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Note that it refers to "sources" and not just a single source. The Drover's Wife, I understand your concern about systemic bias but that's not the case here. Wikic¤l¤gyt@lk to M£ 13:46, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- What makes you think it's just one source? Business Daily Africa, CapitalFM and Daily Nation are perfectly fine too. Mentioned here and here, which appears to be a reliable Kenyan news portal.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:47, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
