Seeking help

Thanks for your recent work on medicine-related articles. Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine is trying to get at least one ref into every medicine-related article. The list is getting shorter, but we've still got a bit more than 100 to go, and the Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced articles/Backlog drives/November 2024 ends in just less than a week. If you could add a source to even one or two of them, it would really help us out. Here's how to help:

  1. Pick an article from the list. Most of them are organizations, people, or other subjects that do not require any specialized medical knowledge.
  2. Find at least one reliable source and add it to the article.
  3. Remove or update any maintenance tags at the top of the article.
  4. Edit the list to mark off the item or leave some notes about it so the next person will know that this one is done. (Try editing the page in the visual editor, because it's much easier for tables.)
  5. That's all!

Also, if you ever need help with medicine-related articles, please feel free to put Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine on your watchlist, and to join the discussion whenever you'd like. Thanks, WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:01, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request Richard Warshak

You recently edited the article about me, Richard Warshak. Thank you for that. The inset box that lists basic data labels my doctoral dissertation as a thesis. To correct this, in place of: Thesis, the word should be: Dissertation. As the subject of the article I don't think I should be the one to make such an edit.Rawars (talk) 13:52, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there @Rawars, thanks for reaching out.
The "inset box" you refer to is an Infobox generated using a template called Infobox scientist. As such the label "thesis" is a parameter that is given by the template and is immutable. Furthermore, the terms "dissertation" and "thesis" have grown to be interchangeable over time (see Thesis), and the infobox uses them as such, including on the article about you. Hence, there is no need for the correction as you requested.
A useful hint: there is a formal system to make edit requests with conflict of interest, see WP:COIREQ.
I hope this helps! Cheers, YuniToumei (talk) 14:20, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just saw your thoughtful response. Thank you very much for clarifying. And I will keep in mind WP:COIREQ for future concerns about my page.Rawars (talk) 13:40, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reservoir

The word is Reservoir not Resevoir as you misused at Lac du Vieux Émosson and several other articles - Arjayay (talk) 21:43, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
