I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hello, Tryfan777

Thank you for creating Große Bischofsmütze.

User:Nick Moyes, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Lovely job! I see you've just signed up to WikProject Mountains, but you might also like to join WP:WikiProject Mountains of the Alps and add to the list of suggested articles we're collating over there, too. (Great username, BTW)

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Nick Moyes}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

@Nick Moyes: Thank you for your comment! I'll join there too, not sure why I hadn't already ;) Happy to receive any feedback/suggestions from a veteran editor on my contributions, as there's still a lot to get used to. Regards (& it's certainly a great mountain), Tryfan777 (talk) 20:41, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It'll be great to have you, though it's not a hugely active group, despite there being a vast amount left to improve. My belief is that the WP:ALPS Project should really look beyond just the mountains themselves, and encourage contributions across a wider range of high alpine subjects, including the mountaineers, huts, guides, glaciers and high alpine flora & fauna. We're building a list of reference books that we've individually got access to, lest another project member needs someone to look up any details for another person. (I've got many guidebooks for the 4000mer areas, but know little of the outlying alpine regions.) Yeah, Tryfan is stunning. Haven't rock climbed there for quite some years, but did manage to update both the Tryfan and Glyder Fach pages with a pic and a video from when did the North Ridge and Bristly Ridge route last year. Just shout if you need any assistance, or post a question at the Teahouse, where I often lurk around. Cheers, Nick Moyes (talk) 21:15, 14 June 2020 (UTC)    [reply]
Oh, and there's a useful 'Article Alert' table for another, even smaller WikiProject you might like to check out. See Wikipedia:WikiProject British and Irish hills. Nick Moyes (talk) 21:23, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nick Moyes: I share your view that the focus should be a bit broader; there's certainly more to the Alps than just the peaks alone. Unfortunately I'm a bit lacking in Alpine-based literature, which seems to be a necessary companion in developing a fully-fleshed out article, but will try and use all the resources I have - understanding German to a decent degree helps. Will at least try to advance any new articles beyond a simple stub. The Glyderau are a great day out, in general - my earliest experiences of mountains were based there. May join that other Wikiproject as well. Regards, Tryfan777 (talk) 22:00, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
