Information icon Hello, I'm Ohnoitsjamie. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Given that there are conflicting accounts from several different news sites, I've removed the date and posted a note at the BLP noticeboard. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:27, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't The Times of India a reliable source. | The Times of India article Soumyajit sc (talk) 15:53, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It usually is (depending on the author; some news sites allow independent "correspondents" to publish, which could be anyone), but then again so is CNN News18. That's why I've removed the birthdate. As you probably know, it's not unusual for actors and actresses to give out false birthdates due to ageism in the industry. In this case, there doesn't seem to be a clear consensus from reasonable sources that I can see. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:04, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I do have the Govt.ID of the said person as well which states the year of birth as 1983 and the same was provided to stars unfolded | Stars unfolded Jaya Ashan Profile they have uploaded that as Verified with Govt ID. The same was done in the case of The Times of India they updated the profile page of jaya ashan with the correct age. | The Times of India Profile Soumyajit sc (talk) 16:17, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You claiming to have a govt id doesn't comply with WP:Verifiability, period. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:24, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I do get the point. but is there any way you can help me out with that. as I can't upload the personal information in a public forum. as I have already shared that with the Times of India and they have updated her year of birth for that. Soumyajit sc (talk) 16:46, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As long as there are multiple reasonable sources with conflicting information, per WP:BLPPRIVACY we can't publish a date. You're free to participate in the discussion I started on the BLP noticeboard OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:27, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Soumyajit sc, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Thanks for uploading File:JayaAshan.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. A tag has been placed on File:JayaAshan.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.anandabazar.com/entertainment/actress-jaya-ahsan-s-desire-to-come-kolkata-at-the-earliest-dgtl-1.1185339. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Munjarin Abony moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Munjarin Abony, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jaya Ahsan, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source.
