Why do you consider the rank of Major as senior officer?
@Skjoldbro:, Why do you consider the rank of Major as senior officer? Majors are considered junior officers in almost all countries of the world, and also Sergeants are considered Non-commissioned officers. Explain please. Hamwal (talk) 09:01, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Hamwal: When editing we should stive to have Verifiabel information, "almost all countries of the world" is an unsourced statement. This along with the fact that you have been reverted means that you no consensus for the edit. Continuing with the edit without sources or consensus constitues Edit warring, which can result in a ban.
- Concerning the facts themselvs, NATO states that a Major is Senior officers, just like India and Pakistan. And yes Sergeants are NCOs, just like Warrant officers, sergeant majors and chief petty officers. So it is very incorrect place all of these in a "Warrant officers" category, when only the US WO are a separate group.
