Style problems etc.

Eep, sorry. Meant to get back to you earlier, but I got sidetracked.

Regarding the first question: I'm not sure, to be honest. I've seen it a few places myself, but never have been entirely sure how to get around it. If you click on "My Preferences", you have an option on the "Appearance" tab which allows you to choose a default setting for thumbnails. That might help.

Regarding the second question: You can use MLA guidelines; I've seen it done, though not frequently. Personally, I don't use it, because I think it looks a bit odd in context. But it's not wrong, in and of itself. Wikipedia:Citing sources explains some of the options available. I tend to use a modified MLA formatting; rather than putting the name and page number in parentheses, I write the footnote as if it were the MLA citation and stick the page numbers in at the end.

There isn't really one overarching standard; just so long as what you do looks good and gets the information across you should be fine. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:06, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Article Deletion: Kreayshawn

Re your message: There is no need for me to restore the revisions from May. The article has been expanded by many editors and there would be nothing to gain in restoring the deletion revisions. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 03:10, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Not a problem. I didn't remember that I had deleted KREAYSHAWN, too. I had only looked at Kreayshawn. Generally speaking, if a person becomes notable sometime after their article is deleted, a new article is written and the old version is not restored since the old version would not have anything to establish their notability. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:28, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited K. Venkatappa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ravi Varma. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
