Adoption

Hello Queenqpawn!

Contribs
Greetings Queenqpawn! My name is Blackadam2 but i'm also known as Madadude. I am here because I have noticed that you are interested in being Adopted and I would be happy to offer to be your adopter. I have been on Wikipedia for over a year and have been an active member since July 2008. I have a lot of experience with editing Wikipedia. My areas of expertise on Wikipedia are Geography, Internet Celebrities, Creating Userboxes, Templates, and Harry Potter, which I see you like. I am also a large part of WikiProject Demographics and if you are good at Geography I would like it if you could help The Transhumanist and I with that project.

If you accept my offer for being your adopter, please write back on my talk page and replace {{adoptme|20081219030717}} with {{Adoptee|Blackadam2}} on your userpage.

If you have a question ask me on my talk page. I'll be glad to help.

Sincerely, Madadude (talk) 03:57, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for accepting my offer. You and Fishtron are my two adoptees. Please ask me any questions on my talk page. I will be happy to give you your first lesson in the ways of a Wikiholic.

Sincerely, Your proud adopter Madadude (talk) 17:07, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One thing I would ask you to do. Go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Demographics and instead of putting your name, Put ~~~~ sign your name. Thank You.

Hello Queenqpawn, I am done with my short Christmas wikibreak and am back to being fully active on Wikipedia. Please write back on my talk page to tell me what you want to know about Wikihoilcs. I'd be happy to help as your adopter.

Hope you had a merry Christmas (Or if your not Christian) Happy Holidays (Or if you are Atheist) Happy December,

What to do on Wikipedia

Hi

you asked me for help on what to do here. It seems as if you are already joining up with new projects. Probably the best way to get started is to find some very short articles (that are called stub articles and add some more content. At the WP:AFC project we assist unregisterd users to make new articles by trying to make sure that they are suitable and then creating the article. If you have an idea for an article you can talk to me on my talk page, but actually I am on a wikibreak, and will not be around a wikipedia terminal much for a couple of weeks.

Other ways to help depend on your personality, if you like answering questions there are reference desks, if you like to edit, it is very easy to find spelling mistakes and fix them. Another excellent way is to take photos or draw diagrams for articles that need them. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:11, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Bauhs2iaafxc08.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:42, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Women's history editathon

Hey - Sorry for the late notice, but since you have yourself tagged as living in the Bay Area, I thought you might appreciate notification that we’re having an event Saturday! It’ll be held at Hoyt Hall, an all-women's house of the Berkeley Student Cooperative from 3 to 6 pm tomorrow. The main event page is here. Anyone is welcome to show up, but we’re expecting a significant number of people to come who have literally never edited Wikipedia before. If you’re an experienced Wikipedian who would be able to provide useful help to some of the newbies, your presence would be especially appreciated (and it might be a good idea for you to show up at 2 or 2:30 instead of three. Thanks, Kevin Gorman (talk) 02:06, 6 April 2013 (UTC) I’m AWB’ing this message to all Wikipedians who have tagged themselves in the bay area. I’m sorry if the message isn’t of interest to you; feel free to delete it. I’ll be unlikely to send future messages in a similar way, but if really don’t want to receive future messages of this sort, please let me know. [reply]
