The article Woo Seung-yeon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No strong case for notability. Only roles were minor in two films and only one of the films is bluelink. Refs note that she was passed over for several roles. Instead, the theme of the refs, which are solely retrospectives reporting on her suicide, is that she was only a minor actress who had not become a major star.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DMacks (talk) 02:40, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
Insignia
Sorry to bother you, but I am giving you a friendly "ping" as you have an "Oppose" !vote at Talk:Insignia#Requested move 5 February 2019. I added some RS to the article. This may or may not address your concerns, but I just wanted to let you know now it is an elapsed listing, and it seems like the consensus is to move it into main (imperfect as it is) so you may wish to comment. I added some sources as you and another editor pointed out, but I try to translate verbatim before doing anything else, and there were no sources in the Spanish original. 178.164.162.144 (talk) 21:50, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Well, blow me, in the time I was typing this it got moved over. Sorry to bother you! 178.164.162.144 (talk) 21:53, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Requested move
Hello PC78, regarding your recent two requested movie was so complicated, I noticed that before you request those pages was moved by you. My advice is if you are unable to complete the moves then request a series moves so that sysop or page movers can move without leaving a redirect which is an easy way.
Example first move request
- Two Weddings and a Funeral to Two Weddings and a Funeral (Tru Calling)
- Two Weddings and a Funeral (film) to Two Weddings and a Funeral
Example second move request
Top of that Two Weddings and a Funeral (Tru Calling) was redirect to Two Weddings and a Funeral (film) and Life Is Cool (song) was redirect to Adagio (Sweetbox album). I request you to keep open your eyes for all these things. Warm Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 05:51, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
- @ZI Jony: Fair enough on the second one, the first I didn't know I couldn't complete until I'd already got so far. I'm not convinced you didn't make it more complicated than it needed to be: you've managed to swap the talk page histories for Talk:Two Weddings and a Funeral (Tru Calling) and Talk:Two Weddings and a Funeral for no particular reason. Thanks anyway though! :) PC78 (talk) 09:24, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
Dancing (with tears in my eyes)
quickie - 2nd entry at DAB stil has three blue links. In target film, is "Joseph Dubin" not "Joe Dubin" as in DAB. Ignore this if not active and I will do, but giving you first dibs. "Joe Dubin (composer)" is piped. 94.21.234.169 (talk) 23:58, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
- @94.21.234.169: Piped link is fine per MOS:DABMENTION. Should probably only be one blue link but in this case it's not obvious which artilce is the most relevant; it was written by both men, for (though not used in) the film. Article is at Joe Burke (composer) but perhaps he was credited as Joseph Burke in the film? Don't know, but not sure that it matters. Before the dab page was linking to Joseph A. Burke who is someone else entirely! PC78 (talk) 00:04, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you, was in hurry as I saw you actively editing and already had EC at WP:RM so stood off. All well and good. You're right piped link is fine specifically but not generqlly perWP:DABPIPE i.e. don't make something more ambiguous in an attempt to keep the DAB clean-lookin'. You will see I scrubbed my support but that is based on the DAB being pretty useless with the entries as they were, thanks for fixing those. I got wrong which one was "(composer)" in my haste, thanks for the AGF there. 94.21.234.169 (talk) 00:55, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
RFD
Hi! I see that you have tagged several redirects with the RFD tag, but you didn't nominate them for deletion and they are not in the list: Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2019_May_10. Perhaps you intend to nominate them later? Sjö (talk) 11:17, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
- I've created a procedural nomination for one of them, Droz (professional wrestling, as that was highlighted by someone else, but mass nominating pages for deletion and then not starting the discussion about them as you've done is disruptive and I'll revert all your nominations if you don't open discussion for them shortly. Thryduulf (talk) 12:22, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
@Sjö and Thryduulf: Apologies, I was in the middle of a group nom when I unexpectedly got called away, I will wrap this up shortly. And Thryduulf, perhaps a little more good faith on your part? PC78 (talk) 12:47, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited David C. Robinson (disambiguation), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Robinson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Need help to improve article?
PC78 I need help to improve the Kent Tate article. The article started out with a lot more content before it was submitted for AfC approval. During the process, much of the content and references were removed... I take responsibility for that happening as clearly at the time I was not effectively filtering out flowery language and the article suffered greatly because of that lack of understanding. Since then I have created several additional articles some AfC approved and some directly posted. Someone upgraded the article to C class somewhere along the way - which clearly you don't agree with. I would like to improve the article but need some help because of COI. Can you help me? LorriBrown (talk) 22:23, 28 July 2019 (UTC)

Hey, would you be able to comment at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2019 August 8#Melt with You (Carly Rae Jepsen song) with what you think? I'm interested to know what your thoughts are on redirects for bonus tracks on an album as I see you commenting at RfDs a lot. Thanks. Ss112 23:07, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
Page mover granted
Hello, PC78. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.
Useful links:
- Wikipedia:Requested moves
- Category:Articles to be moved, for article renaming requests awaiting action.
If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! TonyBallioni (talk) 00:17, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
No include !
When you apply a speedy tag to a page which is transcluded you must bracket the tag with <noinclude></noinclude> . Your failure to do so in the case of template:User Punjabi cinema task force caused all these pages to appear spuriously in CAT:CSD. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:47, 29 August 2019 (UTC)
- @RHaworth: Ah, my bad. I didn't realise the page was being transcluded. Sorry! PC78 (talk) 09:51, 29 August 2019 (UTC)
Your recent edits to Template:WikiProject Korea have landed it in Category:WikiProject banners with formatting errors. Rather than revert, I wanted to reach out and make sure you had a chance to take a look and see if there's an easy fix. Thanks! JPG-GR (talk) 12:15, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
- @JPG-GR: My best guess from the error code is that this is caused by removing the
TF_n_NAME
parameters from each task force, which I did because Template:WPBannerMeta/hooks/taskforces/doc suggests that they are not required and are redundant whenTF_n_TEXT
is used. I'll have a look in a bit. PC78 (talk) 12:22, 1 September 2019 (UTC)- @JPG-GR: That did it but it looks like a false positive to me. I'll mention it at Template talk:WPBannerMeta. PC78 (talk) 13:24, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
Empty categories
Hello, PC78,
I see that you created some new "tracking categories" that are presently empty: Category:DecadeCategoryNav where decade param = title decade, Category:DecadeCategoryNav where decade param ≠ title decade and Category:DecadeCategoryNav where topic param = title topic. I assume that these at some point they will be used? You might add {{emptycat}} to the categories to avoid them being deleted. Thanks! Liz Read! Talk! 23:50, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

- Hi Liz, they will be in use soon. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:59, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- Ooops! Sorry, I got confused them with another template. Those categs were in use for months, but Template:DecadeCategoryNav has been merged to Template:Navseasoncats. So the tracking categories have served their purpose, and I have deleted them. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 00:04, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Okay, PC78, it was Category:Use of impn parameter in Category importance template. So, that's what I was thinking of. A mistake, but not as big as I thought. Liz Read! Talk! 00:05, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Ah yes, it doesn't seem to be picking up anything and I don't suspect that it will. It's only meant to be temporary, give it a weeks or so and I'll get rid of it. PC78 (talk) 00:08, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Twinkle automagically adds the darn message. I declined a fourth category for the same reason, and you didn't get a notification. But basically, it's not personal. - @KillerChihuahua: No worries, though I think you were unduly cautious in declining them. I'm a little puzzled why you deleted the fourth category before restoring it? PC78 (talk) 16:01, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!
Greetings!
After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section.
On English Wikipedia, we would be recognizing participants in the following manner:
- Overall winner (1st, 2nd, 3rd places)
- Diversity winner
- Gender-gap fillers
For further information about the contest, the recognition categories and how to participate, please visit the contest page here. For further inquiries, please leave comments on the contest talkpage or on the main project talkpage. See you around :).--Jamie Tubers (talk) 00:50, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Air Bud: Aussie Rules
I noticed that, about a decade ago, Air Bud: Aussie Rules was nominated for deletion, and that the final consensus was to have the article redirected to Air Bud. Given that no reliable sources have even alluded to the film being considered by the scriptwriters at all, it probably is best to have Air Bud: Aussie Rules listed at Redirects for Discussion. 76.126.49.152 (talk) 21:38, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!
