Why did you remove this section without any explanation other than "unencyclopedic"- waht does that mean?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrdlu junction (talk • contribs) 04:10, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Braefield, New South Wales, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.allescapes.com.au/c/InfoBrowser.browse/Braefield,_New_South_Wales. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Rail platform boxes

Sounds like you are having a battle with info going into the CityRail platform boxes. I originally created and added most of them to CityRail station platforms, and feel as you seem to also, that too much fine detail about individual services has been added to them and agree with your thoughts about the trackwork information that's been added. I sort of regret that I created the boxes in the first place. Good luck, i have been in a few edit wars myself and they are pretty unsatisfying. It can be hard to get admin support. February 2010

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give North West Rail Link a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Please move the article (North West Metro) rather then copying and pasting it to North West Rail Link Bidgee (talk) 11:04, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 00:31, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, what do you actually think on this?? before I get involved in the discussion again. I can see the point of the nominator because the piped links on the assoc. articles are pretty ugly. I started the renames of V/Line services in Victoria (see Albury-Wodonga V/Line rail service et al): by that convention the lines in Sydney, if they are to be moved, should include the word CityRail eg CityRail Northern Line; That I would accept as that is what they are known as and appear on timetables etc, but I am hardly enthusiastic (the suggested renamings dont appeal to me at all). Pity the lines in Sydney dont run in straight lines as they do in Melbourne. Regards Crusoe8181 (talk) 09:40, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:TfNSW.png)

Thanks for uploading File:TfNSW.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:10, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Inner West railway line, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page South railway line (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

FYI, you have made Template:Strathfield platform box unreadable with my screen reader, you need to insert |alt= with alternative text, or even better, render this with css. Frietjes (talk) 14:49, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. Your new icon doesnt look quite the same though, with square corners etc. MrHarper (talk) 06:27, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
which browser? it's using template:border-radius which should round the corners in most all browsers. if the example in template:border-radius does not have round corners, then it's a problem with your web browser. Frietjes (talk) 15:36, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Metropolitan Goods railway

In the map of the goods railway, you've transposed the Domestic and International stations at the airport. They should be the other way round. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.203.250.2 (talk) 02:30, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was just looking at the map you made for the Metropolitan Goods railway page, and was wondering if it was out of date? The page seems to mention a stretch between Fleming and Homebush and a stretch between North Strathfield and Rhodes, yet your map doesn't show these sections as being part of the railroad. It'd be nice if someone updated the page with a "today" section to describe the current routes the railroad exists on. Is it that it doesn't exist anymore as an entity so there is no defined Metro Goods railway, anymore? Perhaps, someone could change the title of the page of "freight railroads in Sydney" or some such thing and then simply include Metropolitan Goods as a subsection, because it seems that the Metro Goods page seems to cover Metro Goods but freight rail in Sydney along with it, and it's pretty confusing. --Criticalthinker (talk) 15:04, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ignore this. I've read the article a few times, and it's probably clear enough considering the complicated history of the railroad. --Criticalthinker (talk) 16:31, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your suggestion from seven years ago that this shouldn't be a stand-alone page. So I've rewritten it as a single article about all the announced and cancelled metro proposals of 2008-10 and proposed that the others be merged into it. Mqst north (talk) 14:27, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Bowenfels 1954.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bowenfels 1954.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you for uploading File:Enmore map.png.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
