Apologies

Apologies for the action and reverting on your talk page, blocked user Hdayejr has picked your page to make his comments on, for some reason. Whatever he says should just be taken with a grain of salt, he's got a long history of harassment. Sorry for the chaos. Thanks! Dayewalker (talk) 07:21, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD wikietiquette

Re. your reply: it is your opinion as to what a spade is, not a fact. Per WP:BLP unsourced contentious material about living people is forbidden throughout wikipedia. Thanks. Ty 06:30, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a typo

I was fixing a typo on the page and it said my change was reverted and told me to stop. All I did was change massacure to massacre like it should be. I didn't see this as a frivolous change... though that was before I made my account properly. Does it always revert people's changes if you don't have an account?--Princessnekosama (talk) 07:18, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

...Nevermind

The typo I fixed and that was reverted was fixed again. I just was curious as to why I'd have gotten a message saying it was reverted and to stop when it was just a typo. I was wondering if it was because they just did that if an unregistered user did it or not, is all. Here's the link, regardless. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Yu-Gi-Oh%21_anime_and_manga_characters Princessnekosama (talk) 03:04, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • No idea, I was just wondering. I didn't make any such jokes, just a typo, but I got a message saying like 'please stop editing this way and use the sandbox' or something to that degree, just was curious as to the nature of the message. Princessnekosama (talk) 06:27, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Hopkinses

My bad on removing Arthur - you're quite right, if he's in the manga, then he should totally stay on the page. However, check out the section I've just started on the article's talk page for a bit more discussion on what should and shouldn't be on the page. - Chris McFeely (talk) 17:18, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Quick bit about SF4

The game apparently does have english VA's for everyone this time alongside the japanese ones, with the option supposedly to turn them off individually (and most are complete crap). Though I'm not entirely sure that a list of who's doing which voices is published yet.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 12:58, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The game's dub is being done by New Generation Pictures (and it is not Complete Crap) the guy who is directing it is Taliesin Jaffe who did the dub for Beck Mongolian Chop Squad as well as Hellsing Ultimate.--Jack Cox (talk) 18:05, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gay for Bridget

I am about to add the "Gay for Bridget" meme into the Bridget article. I see that you have many edits and REVERTS to this article, and there is some of your inflamatory language regarding the internet meme on the article's talk page. So I cannot pretend to assume good faith. If you wish to revert my edits, please contact me first. Roidroid (talk) 16:02, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

    • It is difficult to find such sources for Internet Memes so it may take some time. How are other Internet Meme articles sourced? ps: are you getting this message if i post it on my own talkpage? (and likewise, will i get notified if you reply to something i type on your talkpage?) i do not understand the wikipedia notification system for such things Roidroid (talk) 17:13, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Girlsalltheway2009 & Livinglifetoothefullest

Hi, You listed that they're suspect sockpuppets of Troyrodriguez631, but I think you meant to put Troyrodriguez361. Is that right? I've made the change, but feel free to revert me if that's not what you meant. justinfr (talk) 13:44, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Guilty Gear

If the part on Faust (Guilty Gear) Dr. Baldhead is implicitly stated in the game, please revert me. Perhaps I misread it, but I thought the article merely said the game implied that. The various musical references seem to vary from highly likely to wildly improbable. Rather than decide how likely each indvidual claim is (and thus engage in my own original research) I'm removing all that are not sourced. Edward321 (talk) 21:38, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, trivia sections (often masquerading notes, cultural references, or other info) are a real magnet for driveby OR. My instinctive reaction is to nuke them from orbit, but there are occasional bits of useful (and sometimes even sourced) info in some of them. Guilty Gear is better than most - I can see some of the references and I know only slightly more about heavy metal than Opus the penguin. Edward321 (talk) 22:00, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Trueform Sailor Galaxia.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Trueform Sailor Galaxia.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concerns

Regarding the Pelosi open letter, i understand your concerns. My concern is that they will use the Fairness Doctrine to apply to the Internet including Wikipedia. My fear is that 38% of people polled in Rasmussen earlier this month in the US support government regulation on the Interent. I don't want that. This is not conspiracy theory, but fact. Robert

Thanks for your note. I had hopes of helping better understand how we do things so he would be a constructive rather than vexatious editor. I'm not out to help Robert be vexatious. Of course, he denies the bribery thing. Perhaps he just did not understand how offensive that behavior is to us. I keep reminding myself that it took me a while to learn some things too. (I had my first article deleted and, I got a nonsense warning early on. Not all of us are as bright as we could be at times.) I can understand how every who has interacted with him feels. I had to set my feelings aside myself.

To be honest, I feel frustrated in that I seem not to be getting through. I hope that someone who is not involved with him can come in fresh and make a difference. Not all of his posts make sense to me. He does not seem to understand some basic polices-- see my notes on his talk page and on the RFC and on my talk. Gnfnrf did a fine job at Wikipedia talk:Requests for comment/Roberttheman2008. The RFC needs to run its course. We need to develop a consensus and proceed from there. Cheers, and happy editing. Just a shout out

Split the character template back off of the Guilty Gear main directory template and modified it a bit: it'll now include Category:Guilty Gear characters into the article's directly, so in almost all cases that's been removed from them so the template can handle it and save a little space in them. Also the In-universe infobox template got merged with {{Fighting game character}} since it was just reduced to a birthplace param, which had the nice side effect of restoring the bloodtype in some of the articles.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 16:51, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: Street Fighter character pictures

From what I can tell, the Manual of Style for video games really doesn't specify one particular guidelines for the info box picture. That said, I'm of a view that the infobox should be the most iconic version of the character, plus, none of the other SF2 character articles use the SF4 artwork, it was only the four boss articles that did. Hi there. Since there's some latitude given for working on articles in user space, I didn't want to speedy quite yet. Question of Chazz Princeton merge

This page shouldn't be merged, for one he is a MAIN CHARACTER of the series. Should Hiroto Honda or Maximillion Pegasus from Yu-Gi-OH be merged? Yes, Blair Flannigan and Axel Brodie, Atticus Rhodes, Aster Phoenix, Adrian Gecko should be merged sense they appeared in a one season. But Bastion, Chazz, and Alexis should not be merged sense they appeared in all seasons and they are the main characters. Its like merging Minako Aino. Ancient Persian problems

You recently contributed to an AfD discussion on an article about ancient Persian history. I have been reviewing the contributions of the editors who have been involved in these and other related articles, and have found a considerable number of issues - bad writing, original research, lack of sourcing or citations, and POV problems. I have posted the results of my review at User:ChrisO/Ancient Persian problems (it's a work in progress, as I'm still going through the contributions). Please feel free to add to it as you see fit and leave any comments at User talk:ChrisO/Ancient Persian problems. I would be interested in any feedback that you might have. James Brown (director)

As to James Brown (director), no, i think i recall removing the co-premiere bcz there was no indication of its relevance to him (whether or not the article should survive), and i had already forgotten the title -- now you have me wondering if it's porn! (Which is neither here nor there; we have a standard for what makes a porn star notable, and i would guess most porn directors are more notable than most porn stars.)
I don't know that he is n-n, but it's my best guess based on the pattern i cited. That pattern is also consistent with his being the director that stars push their agents to get to do their vids, and the short subject could be something artistic he did out of self-indulgence or as a chance to make some ageless but not commercial art. And maybe he's got no recent credits bcz he stashed away what he needs to spend 5 years making his magnum opus.
If you have something better on him than what has been offered for the No.Car. mayor i AfD-nom'd (currently in progress, see my contribs of the last few days), take the ProD off and improve the article, or just make a good, verifiable arg on the talk page, and i won't be the one to AfD it. 'Cause i really don't know whether he's worth an article. (Even if i try to sound like i know everything when i'm arguing on an AfD.[smile])

  • Mention the gushing on his talk page, headed "Pro. Deletion discussion", quote my critique and anything else that feels to you like it bear on the subject in either direction, including the refs the article quoted and his IMDb lk. Then see if you can find anything close to the gushing on-line in a G-search or whatever, and if so add a lk. I think that even a ProD-del'd article's talk page is immune from speedy deletion if it has such a discussion, so if you're not willing to Un-ProD it, that should preserve enuf that the next editor with an interest doesn't have to start from scratch. Also bear in mind that a ProD-del'd article can be revived at any time: ProD is about cleaning up, not making long-term decisions of worthiness.
Oh, BTW, i assume Russ Meyer and Edward D. Wood, Jr. were bad directors, and i'm suspicious of John Waters (filmmaker). But no question: they're all notable.

Don't jump to conclusions that fast. It's not actually in a fan site. I read it on some article on a website. Beejay1234 (talk) 10:49, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the link for the info. It's not a fansite. http://www.yugiohfans.co.uk/characters.html Check Aki's profile there. Please reply after you do so. Beejay1234 (talk) 09:09, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Neale Donald Walsch edits

I've reversed your deletion and changed the original NYTimes blog link in my paragraph to the current NYTimes printed article link. Edit for editorial voice if you wish, but claiming the paragraph lacks substance is not proved by the references available, as cited. Info

I would like to add a new info to articles: Yusei Fudo and Akiza Izinski related to Episode 40 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. For more info about this: check it at yugioh.wikia.com. Please reply. Beejay1234 (talk) 13:30, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I will only add the info based on what the episodes say. Beejay1234 (talk) 19:12, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your input at the AfD. I was subsequently able to source notability for the organization and with the help of User:PC78 merged all pertinent informations from the 14 satellite articles into the master article. It now seems worthy of Wiki. Best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:15, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct.

Your AIV report was fine. I appear to have made an error, scooping it up with about a dozen bad reports. We were apparently under attack from a dynamic IP vandal-bot that would make one vandalization edit, change their IP, make one vandalization edit... and we were getting a very high number of AIV reports for 1-edit vandal-bots with no warnings where blocking would have no effect anyway because of the behavior. I apparently scooped your report up in that mess. My apologies. Toddst1 (talk) 12:43, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Wonreilien.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Wonreilien.png.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Prods

You need a reason to remove a nomination of a page for deletion. You cannot just remove them because you feel like it. If there's an issue, then make it clear, otherwise I'll take these articles to AfDMGeorge Pelltier (talk) 01:17, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TOMS SHOES reincarnates as TOMS Shoes

FYI, back in 2006 you voted in a unanimous AfD DELETE for TOMS SHOES, which has attempted at least twice to re-emerge with virtually no changes. It is now back again as TOMS Shoes. I noticed that you've been involved in the editing and/or deletion of this page in the past and thought I'd let you know I've added {{advert}}, {{refimprove}}, and {{cleanup-link rot}} tags for reasons I've explained at Talk:360 Architecture. Unreferenced BLPs

Hello JuJube! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Yūji Machi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Daisuke Hirakawa - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

AfD nomination of Akiza Izinski

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Akiza Izinski. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Akiza Izinski. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Sailor Star Song

Hello JuJube,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sailor Star Song for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the album, song or discography is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article of their own.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can , but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Millenium Eye (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
