User talk:Jacroe

Jacroe, the Go Get a Roomie! article that you worked on was nominted for Did You Know (DYK) by MrJugs, who appears to have edited on March 24 and 25 only and not been back.

If you are interested in it running—what happens is that a "hook" based on the article runs for about eight hours on Wikipedia's main page in the "Did you know" section—then it will need some additional work to meet DYK standards, perhaps considerable work. The issues have been noted in the nomination template linked to in the header of this section.

As DYK is for recently created or expanded articles, we cannot wait very long: please try to respond here or at the template the next time you edit at Wikipedia, or within a week at the latest. I'll do my best to hold the nomination open for at least that long. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 15:24, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

BT IP address

Hi I just received your message to 86.137.122.242 about deleting an edit. That IP address is a dynamic BT one - I'm afraid your message is never likely to reach the intended recipient. Tesspub (talk) 20:37, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File:Minnesota_Vikings_Logo_2013.svg this is actually the pre 2013 logo.

This is the the 2013 logo notice the hair braid is much shorter and the horn is different File:Minnesota Vikings Logo 2013.png

Yeah, I've had the pointed out to me, but thanks for making sure I know! Unfortunately, I simply haven't had time to find the new logo in an SVG format. If you want to be bold and put the old one back in, go right ahead. Thanks! Jac roe 04:09, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be willing to check the bias of this?

Jacroe, I work for Congressman Will Hurd. I know the rules and will not edit his account. However, there are a couple of anonymous editors who keep changing his entry in order to reflect their own political biases. I don't believe they fall in line with the Neutral Point of View required for the Biographies of Living Persons. The first time it happened, Jimbo Wales fixed it, as they linked to a politically biased website as a reference. They have recently re-added their original edit, but this time linked to a different website in order to appear less biased. However, they're still making a claim that is simply not true and not supported by their reference. Since you have edited Will's entry before, would you be willing to at least look at their recent edits and judge if their edit and reference is unbiased and accurate, as HR 420 is not called "Obama's Amnesty Program" and the bill in question in no way addresses amnesty or immigration? It was appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security. All I'm asking is for you to come to your own conclusion. Thank you. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Will_Hurd&diff=prev&oldid=662519990 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Will_Hurd&diff=next&oldid=662519990 --ShanaJean (talk) 01:06, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Portal:Computer security/Things you can do requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section P1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a portal which would be subject to speedy deletion if it were an article.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
