No war. Enjoy time here

Ciao! Sorry for giving you this impression... you work is appreciable and I just used to correct. I was just tired of checking ALL of them for typos and style. And, as you can see, the infobox are left n my new edits. I've added a template in the beginning in this page with all the references for style, article layout and rules, etc. Ciao and good work!!! --Attilios (talk) 12:07, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!

About your creation of Mihtarlam, please remember that you always have to put a space after a comma (only in texts, not in numbers). Regards. --Damifb (talk) 19:17, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your answer. Also, when you have time and if you want to, it would be great if you could track back all the articles where you left that error. Best wishes.

I already did most of it.--Damifb (talk) 20:32, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sofia and Plovdiv

Please excuse me for my error! Thank you for the correction. Much appreciated. I was merging two articles together, one from Catholic Encyclopedia, and forgot to check whether the vicariate was elevated. Benkenobi18 (talk) 06:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your vote

I'm genuinely puzzled by what you say. I have checked everything, and I think you have only contacted me once, about Cardinal Archetti and titular sees. See [1], now at User talk:Charles Matthews/Archive 24. Otherwise - is it possible you are thinking of someone else? At Giovanni Andrea Archetti you undid my edit to links, and that was it. Capitalization

Hi -- I'm sorting through a lot of the Afghanistan stubs you created (wow! must have taken you ages -- I'm glad someone took the time to do it), and I wanted to let you know about some capitalization rules in English. In most cases, "north," "south," "east," and "west" are not capitalized. Also, if you write two direction words together, they are usually written as one word - "northeast" and not "north-east." I'll take care of the Afghanistan ones as I sort, but I thought you'd like to know for the future. Keep up the good work! Aelfthrytha (talk) 06:54, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it too much -- we all make mistakes in non-native languages. If you have any uncertainty in the future, though, please feel free to ask me. I am a native speaker, and I would be happy to assist you with anything related to English (or anything else, for that matter). Cheers! Aelfthrytha (talk) 20:41, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is it Khost (Matun)? Are they synonyms or is Matun within Khost? Kingturtle (talk) 18:54, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My talk page...

Stop threatening that "administration" (????) will be on to me (your threats won't influence me). Stop your borderline personal attacks. Stop telling me what to do. If you want to continue the issue, use the correct channels that I have suggested to you - not my talk page. Good day. --Merbabu (talk) 00:00, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Baldevo, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rhodope and Ottoman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:Khanabad.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Khanabad.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 04:06, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet aviation Task Force

Hi! I've noticed your contributions to creating articles on Soviet aviation and was wondering if you would consider joining the Soviet Avition Task Force (still a work in progress right now) one it is established?--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 15:21, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gaytaninovo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Melnik (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Query

Hello Drjmarkov. I'm Blablubbs, and I'm an administrator here. I am reaching out to ask whether you have any connection to Bryan White (motivational speaker). Specifically, I am wondering whether you have any relationship with White that could constitute a conflict of interest. Please do not edit further before you answer this message. Thank you. --Blablubbs (talk) 17:10, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am a Bulgarian, living in Bulgaria. I never met him. I don't have relationship with him. I came upon his story from a friend of mine. It looked prety impressive to me. You are very biased when appears an article about some person from Africa and it always looks suspicious. After that there were shown materials throwing a shade over his work. I contacted my friend and asked him about the whole story and he told me about some extortion and stuff like that, trying to frame him, but he went clear out of it. This may sound stupid, but I think people like him deserve the world to know about them. If you decide to delete the article it will not be a great tragedy. People, who have done literally notning useful in their life may be mentioned here just because they are lame soccer players for example. I know the rules of Wikipedia prety well and they are allowing articles to exist for people, who have never done anything useful for anybody, but they are dead. But when appears an article for young living person, who is not a soccer player or celebrity, then a big peoblem rises. I think in that situation we should leave to some Ugandan user to say their opinion and avoid taking fast decisions. I don't know much about Uganda, but do you? Drjmarkov (talk) 23:50, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Drjmarkov,
I think you are off-the-mark making an accusation of bias. I spend a lot of time reviewing deletion discussions at AFD and any article on a self-employed "motivation speaker" would receive scrutiny because so much of their business model involves self-promotion on sites like Wikipedia and social media. I see similar articles written by paid editors on a daily basis that are swiftly deleted and these individuals come from many different countries. This article is well-written enough to warrant a deletion discussion. I encourage you to participate at the AFD linked to in the message above and respond to editors' concerns. It's not a foregone conclusion that this article will be deleted and this discussion will go on for a week, allowing time to improve the article. Good luck. Liz Read! If you have never met him, how come File:Home-page.jpg is your "own work"? --Blablubbs (talk) 08:43, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This was the easy way to upload the picture, I knew you would ask me, but the owner of the pic has nothing against using it. Drjmarkov (talk) 10:49, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And also I sign with my own name and I am not afraid of my family name. Drjmarkov means Dr Julian Markov - this is me. I am a MD in dental medicine and all my presence in the internet is with that name. So please... Drjmarkov (talk) 10:53, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Presenting something as your own work when it is not your own work is a copyright violation. I have tagged it as such on Wikimedia Commons. If you do have permission, the copyright holder will have to send a release to VRT.
I don't know how your name, your professional qualifications, soccer players, or my knowledge of Uganda are relevant to this conversation. I reached out to you because I am concerned that you created an undersourced, promotional biography in mainspace, and I'm trying to understand why that happened. This is especially troubling to me because you hold the autopatrolled right, meaning that your creations receive far less scrutiny than those of other users. Given the neutrality and copyright issues, I'm inclined to remove the right. Ping @HJ Mitchell: You granted AP in 2011. Would you be okay with a removal? --Blablubbs (talk) 12:16, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are the only one taking personally the dispute about that article . You also are threatening me with something, which of course is your right, but it is also said "administrators are never required to use their tools, and must never use them to gain an advantage in a dispute in which they were involved". The only thing I said more than twice, that there should be an opinion from someone from Uganda, who knows better the sources and policy in that country. You are also trying to discourage me not only editing, but also using Wikipedia, which I think is not the aim of the administration. I have created and edited a lot of articles and have been in such disputes only twice. Also I don't care that much about that article and I would import some changers in it if don't say I can't edit it. About the picture I will remove it or change it. My suggestion is you to leave place for some other admins to take part in that discussion. As you have noticed I haven't edited or written any article recently and may continue to stay away from Wikipedia because of something like this. I wanted the world to know about a good person. And yes the Wikipedia page may give him popularity, but it is the same for every businessman or company having page there. Even the big companies can get benefits for being there. Wikipedia should either adopt policy not to publish any articles about businessmen and companies, or to allow them with certain rules for everyone. Or there should be rule to ban pages about living people in Wikipedia. When we speak about the developing countries the sources there may be less reliable, but it doesn't mean we should delete all the pages about people, who have not published books in the USA or Europe and articles in the Western media outlets. Also we have to have in mind that the English Wikipedia serves not only as Wikipedia for USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand, but for a lot of English-speaking countries, including Uganda. So my offer is for peace and I prefer this discussion to focus on the article, but about my name I may say again, that I don't know how to address to you and I feel uncomfortable because of that. Drjmarkov (talk) 13:22, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry if you feel discouraged; that was not my intention. You are free to edit the article – or anything else on Wikipedia – as you wish; all I asked was that you respond to my inquiry before continuing to edit, which is boilerplate language that we also include in some templated messages (e.g. here), to ensure that people respond to important queries. The only reason I am here is to ensure that Wikipedia's rules are being followed. I have not edited the article, not voted on the AFD, or interacted with you outside of an administrative role. I am not sure why you would consider me involved? As for my name: Like many Wikipedians, I choose not to use my real name online, and go by a pseudonym instead. That should be sufficient to have a conversation. --Blablubbs (talk) 13:59, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sadovo, Blagoevgrad Province, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Exochi.
