Can o' Worms?
You said you "opened up another can of worms in the process", but I don't see where? Could you link me please? - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 01:24
- Wow, looks like you did. I don't understand how people are trying to say the opposite of what Mike Godwin has already said. He says galleries are fine, they are fine....end of story. Why isn't it that easy? Oh wait, this is Wikipedia :)
- I did put my 3 cents in in the conversation, if you need me to again, please feel free to ask. Take Care...NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 01:38
- Oh yeah, don't forget to set your clocks back tonight. - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 01:38
- You are right and what the legal department says should be the end-all-be-all. There shouldn't be a higher rule or opinion then that. Trying to top the legal department is just silly. I am not sure why they want to top lawyers. Oh well, we understand and even User:A Man In Black conceded he went beyond the letter of the rule.

- I always thought that the legal rules was the end-all and then it was Wikipedia's rule's second. Maybe that is where I always got in trouble. But trying to apply standards higher than the ones we have, essentially making rule more powerful then it really is, shouldn't happen. - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 01:57
- Legal Rules and Wikipedia Rules confuse me. I am glad there is someone here to explain it :) - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 02:06
- I liked that too :) I will be the first to admit that fair-use, non-fair-use, and not-fair-use confuse me to no end, but you would think that Beta would get it since this is his department. - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 02:49
- Now I know why I don't get into policy/law/not policy/not law discussions. They seriously drive you mad. - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 04:40

Big Favor/Re: ANI
Do me a BIG favor, if there is ever a fair-use vs. NFCC debate or any form of policy discussion....remind me NOT to get into it. Not only did I get reported to ANI by Beta (which I will get in alot of trouble for), I also have a migraine and am considering a Vicodin. Sheesh! - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 06:18
- Yeah, but I should have backed off. I let him get the best of me, which is what got me in trouble before. Kubigula (the admin who keeps me on track) is going to be pissed.
- That is what I tried to get him to understand and he kept quoting NFCC 3 and 7 back at me. I even tried to get him to describe a logo, he wouldn't or couldn't. Oh well. Like I said above though, please remind me of this next time I stick my nose into a F-U/NFCC debate. :) - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 06:33
- Ya gotta read the IRC chat sometime, it is pretty funny. I am a "known troll, and sockmaster" according to Beta. Pot calling the Kettle back on that one....at least as the "sockmaster" quote goes. - NeutralHomer • Talk • November 2, 2008 @ 06:39

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ABC15phoenix.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:ABC15phoenix.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Your help is requested again
Since you have stated and it was agreed on by other members how to display the infobox for COL and market together instead of COL below Market I have done what I thought we were doing and making it "COL/Market" like in WPWR-TV or WOI-TV. But someone on KCPQ-TV seems to not understand this and I was wondering if you could clarify this? Thanks Oak999 (talk) 20:43, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Possible Lightbot Problem
Lightbot has been removing delinking "meters" in the infoboxes of most television stations and has now started on the radio stations. Should this be stopped, should I revert, what should be done? - NeutralHomer • Talk • December 31, 2008 @ 17:23
- Taking a look at the contribs, it seems the bot is also delinking "Square Miles" and "Kilometers" on some city, county, and state pages as well. - NeutralHomer • Talk • December 31, 2008 @ 17:58

KNXV
I changed your edited because it still sounded like they are changing to Channel 15. "After the analog television shutdown scheduled for June 12, 2009, KNXV-TV will broadcast digitally on channel 15." By just changing this to "After the analog television shutdown scheduled for June 12, 2009, KNXV-TV will continue to broadcast digitally on channel 15." it becomes a lot less confusing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HurricanesFan5 (talk • contribs) 23:01, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Can O' Worms, Part II
User:J Milburn is removing television station image galleries in clear violation of the consensus made in this discussion and legal counsel's recommendations. I have tried, very politely, to explain this and the user seems to think that he and he alone (along with Wikipedia rules) trump Mike Godwin and Federal Law. Since you were apart of the previous discussion, I would ask you come into this one, maybe you can talk some sense into him. - NeutralHomer • Talk • 21:36, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Re: J Milburn and image deletions
That's OK. I got burnt out on discussing it with J Milburn and I think WP:WPRS is where I belong. There are no big discussions on images and the like, just article creation and updating. That is what I am good at. Thanks for taking a look at the whole thing though. Hope to see you around the Wiki :) Take Care...NeutralHomer • Talk • 20:32, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi Dhett,
Whenever you get back from Wiki-break, could you take a look at fourth television network? This is an article I recently created. I'm specifically looking for sourced feedback from someone with access to the sources I've listed as references in the article, so I automatically thought of you. There aren't too many editors who are more serious than you about sourcing of television articles. When you get a chance. Best wishes, Firsfron of Ronchester 03:50, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Firsfron!
- Just caught your note and gave the article a quick once-over. I'll see what I can do to add sources, but can't make any promises. I severely burned myself out on vandal control and on arguments over fair-use, images, and the like, and other things have taken higher priority, so my break has turned more into semi-retirement. I'm easing back into it, but it's going to be more for behind-the-scenes stuff, such as strengthening existing articles with reliable sources, so your request fits right into what I'd like to do. BTW, if you'd like to reach me at a more reliable place than my talk page, you can e-mail me using my Wikipedia handle at q.com, or contact me on Facebook, using my full first and last names. dhett (talk • contribs) 07:53, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi Dhett,
KECY-TV is looking fantastic! Great job on the sourcing! I'm particularly pleased with the robust History section, which many TV station articles gloss over. Are you planning on submitting this for GA? You really should. Firsfron of Ronchester 20:40, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
- Made a couple tweaks of my own to the article. Couple spacing issues (minor), made the "FOX 9" logo look less stretched, and took out the newscast titles/slogans as they are very hard to source and would hinder a GA attempt.
- I would suggest getting some better, clearer and more updated logos for the page. All four of them can be found on the station's webpage. That would give the logos a nice uniform look. Otherwise, awesome work! I agree with Firsfron, you should definitely take the article to GA. Well done! :) - Neutralhomer • Talk • 21:02, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. The article K57HX has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- As a low-power station with no local programming, K57HX had no claim to inherent notability. The article cites no sources. Furthermore, the station's license was canceled on January 6, 2012. (http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/sta_det.pl?Facility_id=63273)
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Kphe id.png
Thank you for uploading File:Kphe id.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
