Talkback{{talkback}} - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 19:17, 28 March 2009 (UTC) UnderstoodThanks for taking the time to leave me an explanation, which really wasn't necessary, but appreciated all the same. I do edit also under an account, contributing to articles and reverting vandalism, but I like to patrol new pages anonymously. You have new messages at Xp54321's talk page. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template. Would you be interested in joining this project? We need more editors who share a burden for rescuing promising editors who have gotten into serious trouble because of behavioral issues. IF (a fundamental condition!) they are interested in reforming and adapting to our standards of conduct, and are also willing to abide by our policies and guidelines, rather than constantly subverting them, we can offer to help them return to Wikipedia as constructive editors. Right now many if not most users who have been banned are still active here, but they are here as socks or anonymous IPs who may or may not be constructive. We should offer them a proper way to return. If you think this is a good idea, please join us. Since you have been previously involved in the discussion, will you answer the request for comment? Thankyou. Hi, New deal for page patrollersHi Crackthewhip775, In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created. Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work. Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC) |
