Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Pictures 011.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Wikipedia does NOT except copyrighted material without written permission from the original website. Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.--Esprit15d 14:24, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Brahma Chellaney Article

Can you provide references for this person's notbaility? I googled for the name and got quite a few hits. To many however, it might look like a vanity page (self promotion). And remember that all images either have to be licensed -- claim fair use if you need to use another image that has been copyrighted, but your limit is one per article I think. Warning: Deleting cited information and vandalizing reflist

Please do not delete cited information and vandalize wikipedia reflists. These both edits from you are nowhere near good faith. --RoadAhead =Discuss= 18:43, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Pictures BC.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sasikiran (talk) 18:46, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm afraid I've done nothing to earn this block. I'm an old contributor who has never been blocked before. Please unblock. Thanks

Decline reason:

This does not address the reason for your block. —  Sandstein  18:49, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

May I point out, for whatever its worth at this stage, that I have engaged neither in edit war nor do I have multiple accounts? So, in the interest of fairness, I hope you will unblock. At this stage, though, I have no editing or other contributions to offer.

Decline reason:

No, you were socking, etc. — MBisanz talk 09:05, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Brahma Chellaney, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Brahma Chellaney

Hello Chellaney,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Brahma Chellaney for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can , but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
