Massive wave of vandalism on Rockwood, Tennessee
Hey Brian, I’ve noticed a large amount of vandalism and ridiculous traffic on Rockwood, Tennessee. We may need to temporarily semi-protect this article, to prevent further vandalism. Averagetennesseejoe (talk) 01:54, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
Hello. I see you uploaded many paintings by Washington Bogart Cooper on Commons. Would you please consider uploading this one?Zigzig20s (talk) 15:42, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
- It shouldn't be a problem, but will it be used in an article? That's normally why I upload them. BrineStans (talk) 20:43, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Yes: Joseph Thorpe Elliston. (I'm also looking for someone to upload this picture, taken from this list, for Burlington.)Zigzig20s (talk) 20:52, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- By the way, if you can find more portraits/pictures of the Elliston family, please upload them too. Thanks!Zigzig20s (talk) 21:07, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Geraldine, Alabama, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sand Mountain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

2019 US Banknote Contest
US Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |

Pictures of East Knox County areas?
Hello, I have created and I am in the works of expanding several East Knox County pages. I have created the pages regarding the Thorn Grove community near the Midway Road/I-40 interchange and the controversial commercial development project there, the Midway Business Park.
I was wondering since that development is nearing completion of its first phase, and the ever so explosion of residential developments in Eastern Knox County, I was curious if you could take pictures of the Thorn Grove/Midway area, and the in-progress business park?
Thanks, AppalachianCentrist (talk) 23:53, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
- Sure thing, though it may be a few weeks before I'm back in the area. BrineStans (talk) 01:12, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi there, at Bean Station, Tennessee I notice you changed the Commons link from inline to banner. I had previously changed the link to inline per Template:Commons category#Location: "Do not place this template in a section containing columns without floating left". Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 06:33, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Mags: That's cool. My browser was just rendering a single column when I made the edit, but stretching it out a bit shows two columns.
- All good. I wrote my first list article today, List of Chevrolet Corvette owners. What do you think? Magnolia677 (talk) 15:32, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Damn. It took all of 7 hours for it to land at AfD. BrineStans (talk) 00:28, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Photo request
Hello! I've never directly approached a Wikipedian with a specific photo request before but I've noticed your photos and work on Knoxville topics many times, and I just noticed a couple of entries on List of children of presidents of the United States are represented photographically with images of their headstones. So. Please ignore or decline this request as you see fit *but* if you're ever in the vicinity of Freedmen's Mission Historic Cemetery at Knoxville College and are so inclined, it would be incredible to have a CC-licensed photo of the grave marker of Elizabeth Johnson Forby. I think the rest of the siblings and Dolly Johnson are buried there too, but no known grave markers. In any case, thank so much for all that you've done for the encyclopedia over the years!
