- I think I have encountered a vandal IP account. 68.149.36.213 has vandalised pages related to the Mario Party series several times within a short space of time. Bowsy 19:57, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

He's vandalised again! Early this morning he removed the "Playable in Beach Volley Folly" character section of Mario Party 4! Bowsy 19:35, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

"Vandalism" edit summaries
Hi,
I've noticed that you've been adding or removing content from articles with the edit summary "rv vandalism" or "remove vandalism". However, many of the edits before these edits were not vandalism, rather good faith edits. It's encouraged to assume good faith on Wikipedia, meaning that edits that aren't blatant vandalism should not usually be considered vandalism. Try to use a different edit summary, such as "rm/rv good faith edits". You are quite a good contributor, especially for a relatively (<2 months) new user. Try to improve based on this message, and keep up the good work! –Llama mansign here 20:03, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! –Llama mansign here 16:03, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
I apologize, but I had to remove the image of the shroob. I have seen the "fight" you had with Metros about a Bowser pic, am I wrong? I'm sorry, but those types of images are official artwork. It breaks Florida law. I see in your last post regarding the Bowser pic on his page, you complained that the image should have been replaced with a link to the image. If you would like the link on I am sorry, but just type [[:Image:Shroob.jpg|Your text here]] where the image used to be.
I'm sorry, but I have no proof. Nor does Metros. However, it is clearly stated on a guideline page and sorry, must be followed.

Hi. What is your question? Xiner (talk, email) 19:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I have been suspected as a sockpuppet of Henchman 2000, which I'm not. They have no evidence to say this except that our pages are similar, we edit at roughly the same time and that I voted for the deletion of WP:CRUFT. How can I clear my good name as I have been praised by other editors and I do not deserve to be called a puppet because I'm not? Bowsy 19:33, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Re: A Case in My Defence
- This was a blatantly false claim, and could be classified as uncivil. This was also an obviously false claim. The latter would normally be forgiven as you were pretty new, but posting so many times, arguing that the image could be used on your page, is not acceptable.
- Just because a person makes valuable edits doesn't necessarily mean the person isn't a sockpuppet (Take User:Pedia-I, for example).
- I praised you for your contribs because you were quite a good new user. However, when I compared you and Henchman's contribs, the edit war, and the MfD, it seemed you were sockpuppets.
- There is nothing wrong with being the only person of a certain vote on an XfD, but your !vote came four minutes after the nom. It would be nearly impossible to go to the WP:CRUFT page and/or WP:MFD, find the MfD, and write your arguement within four minutes.
I am not saying you are definitely a sockpuppet, but it seems quite likely. Either way, just wait a few days for some more comments at the SSP page. –Llama mansign here 20:33, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just to make this completely clear: I am very, very sorry if you are, in fact editing from the same household and are not a sockpuppet. Again, just wait some more for some more comments at the SSP. –Llama mansign here 21:24, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I believe you that you are sharing a computer. It seemed likely at first that you were sockpuppets, but that likeliness has decreased in my opinion. –Llama mansign here 20:17, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Sockpuppet
Hi, I have see your accusing me of being a sockpuppet of Bowser, King of the Koopas. Firstly i would like to congratulate your for being the third person to accuse me of being a sockpuppet of someone. Now on to the Evidence,
- DXRAW's name was mentioned by Bowser as an account he is using that isn't blocked.
- No idea why i got picked but if i was the sockpuppet why would i do somthing like that? I thought the idea of having a sockpuppet was to get around a block not try to get blocked.
- Both have received warnings about persistent vandalism.
- I cant find any warnings for persistent vandalism, Can you please provide me with some diffs?
- Both vandalise articles related to wrestling.
- Can you also please provide me with some diffs for this also. DXRAW 13:17, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Please note my close, in particular the link I gave which details how to propose a merge. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 06:56, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Diffs
Can you please provide me some diffs of where this is happening?--Isotope23 19:30, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Regarding, List of Mario Party 8 minigames, he pointed out what I said and you made your case against it, so it really is up to the closing admin how they want to treat your 2 opinions. I'll weigh in on the talkpage in a few minutes.--Isotope23 19:54, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Comment
I have encouraged no one to treat you unfairly. Check my edit history. Where exactly did I do that? I can't just tell people not to agree with my opinion. I don't control what others think and/or post on Wikipedia. I'm using no tricks: I'm following the guidelines (which everyone needs to follow, there shouldn't be exceptions made). You and Henchman share a computer, while it appears you aren't sockpuppets, meatpuppets seems more likely (even if both of you dispute it). I don't want anyone banned from Wikipedia, so don't put words in my mouth. Also: I didn't create the sockpuppet and meatpuppet guidelines (and I wasn't the first to post the guideline mentioned either). So I certainly didn't just throw that out there and convince everyone to agree about that. RobJ1981 11:52, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- As for the whole "encouraging" nonsense: I was just pointing out something people should know. The sockpuppet case is closed, but the comment at the bottom still applies. There is absolutely no reason to ignore it, or pretend it never happened. You and Henchman share a computer, and it's possible you two are meatpuppets. Ignoring the fact you two share a computer (and the whole sockpuppet case and so on), isn't how Wikipedia works. RobJ1981 23:46, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- I already know what Isotope wrote (I read his comment: as it was posted on the RFC for Henchman days ago). That request for comment is still not settled, by the way. The RFC isn't about meatpuppetry, in case you were wondering. It's about Henchman's personal attacks and threats. Well I'm glad you didnt go and post an attack like Henchman did. So I will give you credit for that. But nothing has been proven against meatpuppetry still, in my opinion. Sockpuppetry: yes, proven you two aren't that... but meat is a different story. MP8 afd
I think I made my position fairly clear on the page. I would be quite willing to change my vote if I saw a significant change in the article, and I believe it could be cleaned up. However, at present I believe the article is highly unencyclopedic and I believe that, due to the nature of the article, it would be difficult to rewrite it in an appropriately encyclopedic manner. Perhaps comparing it to a walkthrough was inappropriate, but the fact remains that there is little encyclopedic content on that page. If the minigames were described in more clarity or with more than just a simple plot summary of what the player must do (hence the "walkthrough"), then I would support the article's inclusion. However, as it stands, I see no reason to change my vote of weak delete. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens 17:09, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure the article could be made very encyclopedic, given the subject matter. If you really need suggestions as to how to clean up the article, first of all, the article should be referenced appropriately; at the moment (or the last time I saw the article anyway) there were just a bunch of links hanging around. To rectify this, see the appropriate pages at WP:HOW and WP:STYLE. As far as the data go, if you were to include more about the minigames' history, significance and function in the game, and any important details about the minigames, they might be improved to make the article useful. However, as I said, the reason that I favor the article's deletion is that I don't think there is much of substance to the article that could constitute an encyclopedic article, even though I believe the games themselves are notable. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens 20:40, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the changes you made are an improvement to the article, but I don't know that they are sufficient to make the article very encyclopedic. And it would still require a great deal of work to appropriately source the article. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens 21:23, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Ever since a sock case, I have been treated like an extension of User:Henchman 2000. Can you give me some advice on what I could do to stop people treating me this way, and help me to get the respect and rights that I deserve? Bowsy (review me!) 13:54, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for the slow response; I was busy for a couple of days. I haven't looked at the details of this sockpuppet/meatpuppet business, but my best advice to you would be to step back from commenting on polls, AfDs, etc., for a while. If you're not saying anything and User:Henchman 2000 continues to speak up, it might be more obvious that the two of you aren't working collaboratively. Give it a few weeks, and things should cool off. If it continues to be a problem, then maybe it's time to abandon this account and create a new one instead. Stop using User:Bowsy entirely, and "become" a different person. Then forget about the places where these conflicts were occurring and get on with your Wikilife elsewhere on Wikipedia. Hope that helps. —PurpleRAIN 16:06, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

- Stop, why whatsoever for? Isotope23 the Admin who closed your Sockpuppet case ( you know, the one at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Henchman 2000 ) even said in closing these are 2 separate individuals using 1 computer... however, that being the case you both need to be careful about meatpuppetry; soliciting a person sharing your computer to show up to articles for deletion debates or content conflicts on articles and support your position is probably not going to be looked upon very favorably by the community. Both of you need to keep that in mind. Seems you've overstepped that. Textbook case of meatpuppetry. Ill point that out with your notice on the AfD -Mask
Sources
There has to be something out there to source these with. What you did with List of Mario Party 8 minigames would be sufficient. I'm not expecting peer reviewed journals... but there has to be a fansite or something out there that list or describes these minigames. Normally I would not advocate using a fansite as a source, but I think in this case that would probably be sufficient.--Isotope23 14:02, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
The Bowser image thing
Hi, I saw your message at User talk:DarknessLord, and wanted to reply: File:800px-Bowser over the years in 8 - 32 bit games.JPG was from Wikimedia Commons, so it wasn't deleted here, but there (confusing, I know); see [1]. –Llama mantalkcontribs 18:19, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Shroob
Didn't know whether or not to put this under the other one above...
The reason I replaced the Shroob image's NoRightsReserved template with the Character-Artwork template is because I thought that would be proper... It's done with all the other Mario artwork. N. Harmonik 04:18, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Mario Party
Well, that's just completely inane. Really. "Face Lift - Similar to playing with Mario's face in "Super Mario 64", players try to get their Bowser face to match the face in the center. The player with the closest match to the center face wins." How is this not guide content? It's telling you how the game is won. A list of levels would never tell you how to beat the level in any way, or at what points you would beat the level, so why in the world can a mini-game list do so? And I ask you, why does a list of mini-games have ANY encyclopedic value whatsoever? - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:38, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Regarding [2]
Actually, some people do refer to the show as "SpongeBob", at least in the US. Not that I object to your edit (as it more often refers to the character); I just wanted to clarify that. — MalcolmMay the schwartz be with you! 00:08, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
RE:AFD
The problem isn't necessarily references. It's the fact that these articles do absolutely no good to non-Mario Party fans. I actually like the Mario Party games, although the last one I played was the second one, so my vote doesn't come from any personal animosity towards the series. ♣ Klptyzm Chat wit' me § Contributions ♣ 18:47, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Mario Party minigames AFD
Hi, I have rewritten the introduction to List of Mario Party minigames. As I know nothing about the game except what's in the article and what I skimmed from the references, I'd appreciate it if you would take a look. Thanks, Black Falcon 17:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
P.S. If the article is kept (to me, it looks like a "no consensus"), I think the main issue would be to add more real-world context and description of the minigames in relation to the overall game, rather than about the minigames themselves.
- Thanks. And yes, the games are decided by the colour of the spaces the players land on; that is randomly selected. But you are right, that should be noted somehow. -- Black Falcon 16:00, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I will try to add some prose for the other lists but can make no promises unfortunately. It largely depends on how much coverage there is of versions 2-8. Also, I have a backlog with a few other articles, so I may not be able to get to the Mario lists soon. However, I will do my best to research and add a little to each list in the coming days. Cheers, Black Falcon 16:00, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I just noticed that the first list was deleted. I don't know if the ruling will be appealed, but I don't think adding prose to the other lists is likely to save them from deletion. -- Black Falcon 17:24, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

DRV
Depends on the context. Can you give an example? - Mgm|(talk) 12:17, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- There are several people who support rewriting the material and including it in the main game articles. I think it's impossible to properly describe a game without describing its levels. It only becomes a game guide when it tells you how to play the game, or give a walkthrough or cheats for its levels. You might be better off convincing people that the reasoning is faulty instead of challenging the validity of their comment/vote. - Mgm|(talk) 12:32, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- The comments I saw from McKay used faulty reasoning. They put the burden on the discussion participants about things that are the creator or the article's editors' responsibilities. I've made a comment in a debate related to game guides and I'll see how that turns out first. - Mgm|(talk) 17:57, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I understand your desire to see this article kept. However if you have a problem with Radiant! or anyone else, please bring your issues up with them or follow the standard dispute process, you should not be trying to convince me of any impropriety on his part. (Response left on my talk page) The Kinslayer 07:55, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- And next time before accusing me of, and I quote, Vote is abuse of DRV, for it is not about content. This user has clearly voted in this manner because they also did so on the AfD, and for no other reason., you should make sure you actually know what the f**k your talking about BEFORE you throw around words like 'abuse'. Even a 'special' person would have thought a smart move would be to first check the AfD to see if I had voted. Let me talk you through how to do this. First open this link, you will find yourself on the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Mario Party minigames page. Next, perform a text search for 'the kinslayer' (and 'kinslayer' if you want to be thorough. You do want to be thorough don't you? After all, it wouldn't do to go around accusing people of things when you've done no or very poor amounts of research right?) Well what do you know, turns out I didn't make so much as a single comment in the AfD you accused me of voting in. Guess I haven't 'clearly voted in this manner because they also did so on the AfD, and for no other reason.' Don't worry, I wont hold it against you, just an apology and we can be on our merry ways. The Kinslayer 12:19, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- I notice you've given this message to another user, as well. In an attempt to prevent further conflict, and due to both Kinslayer's lengthy reply and the fact that deletion was endorsed and due to the fact that you should worry more about your sockpuppetry case, I'll just say to please don't leave such a message on my page again. I'm already dealing with a stressful situation to begin with, and I am probably a razor's edge away from it getting to the point of me getting blocked, so I'd kindly ask you to please refrain from unnecessarily inciting conflict with such a message. ♣ Klptyzm Chat wit' me § Contributions ♣ 21:59, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

AFD
Bowsy, my exact words when I closed the sock case were:
"...however, that being the case you both need to be careful about meatpuppetry; soliciting a person sharing your computer to show up to articles for deletion debates or content conflicts on articles and support your position is probably not going to be looked upon very favorably by the community. Both of you need to keep that in mind."
I have no authority to tell you what you can and cannot participate in here, but like I said in that statement, participating in the same AfD's as Henchman probably isn't going to be looked favorably upon; and that is pretty much where this has gone. My suggestion on AN/I that you both be barred from participating in the same AfD's is the common sense solution in my opinion. I don't want to see you or Henchman get blocked or banned from general editing here and it appears that 90% of the issues and conflict surrounding the both of you are stemming from these AfDs. At this point though it is up to the community at large on WP:CN how this should be handled.--Isotope23 18:30, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- What I said/say isn't the final word here. The text I posted there was a statement of opinion, not some official decree from on high. Up to this point there is no policy, etc that says you cannot participate in the same XfD's but like I've said several times, doing so may wear out the community patience here.--Isotope23 18:48, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

You never supported it and banning is only going to leave us with no vote and no voice. You made it expressly clear your voices are one and the same, two people speaking as one. One Night In Hackney303 18:08, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sadly your Freudian slip makes your combined intentions perfectly clear in my opinion, and given your abuse of the DRV process and harassment of anyone who disagrees with the deletion of the non-encylopedic articles, you have dug your own grave in my opinion and seemingly in the opinions of other editors as well. Your badgering of me based on my comment on WP:CN is inappropriate, and I kindly ask that you desist from it henceforth. One Night In Hackney303 18:16, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Im not on any indef quest againt you, Im gathering evidence. If the evidence becomes great enough for an indef block, then I guess I'll persue it. If you think that im doing something unproper, open a Request for Comment on me or nominate the evidence page at MfD. You have not been proven to be different people, it was a simple judgement call by the closing admin, one I happen to disagree with, but im not chasing you around articles. -Mask? 19:21, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Talk page edits
One more thing! I am going insane at the moment. As you can probably understand, this is a very stressful situation and I am very stressed out by your quest for indefs. I am not thinking straight. Oh, and DO NOT say "which one of his accounts". DO NOT brand me as a sock. DO NOT force words into my mouth. You could basically approach me and say, "Hi, Bowsy. You and Henchman are socks." and it would mean the same thing. You try to force these false facts (grammar?) on us and we will not put up with this, for you are lying and saying, "This is right. That's that.." Well, it's not true. This is one f*****g attack after another and it needs to stop. Bowsy (review me!) 10:17, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, Bowsy. You and Henchman are socks.
- The fact that you get worked up so much about a simple evidence page instead of trusting your editing and interests to differentiate you just seems to confirm that line of thought. -Mask? 16:22, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

WP:ADOPT input
Hello, Bowsy. The Adopt-a-User program is looking for new ideas and input on the program. If you are still interested please stop by the talk page and read some of the ideas being floated and give a comment. If you want to update or change your information on the adopter's list page, now would be a great time! Thanks! V60 干什么? · VDemolitions 03:36, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Mario enemies
It is perfectly fine to merge without starting a discussion, especially when I'm fully backed by guideline and policies. Now that they have been merged, the proper thing to do is start a new discussion to bring them back. This has already happened, and it has failed. TTN 16:50, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- You're going to have to show me a link because I know that isn't true, and even then, a help desk discussion from half a month ago shows that discussions are not always needed, and no such statement of an admin is to be found. TTN 09:26, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- And see WP:MERGE. There are no mentions of your claims. TTN 10:42, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Unusual Adoption Request
Hi! Im an English teacher in Toluca Mexico (west of Mexico City). My Advanced B classes will be contributing to Wikipedia as the focus of their English course for Fall 2007. I am looking for people who would like to mentor my students (who will be working in groups) as they do the following assignments: Edit and article (adding a citation), writing a stub with a citation, translating an English language article for Spanish Wikipedia and for the final project, writing a full article for English Wiki (they can expand on the stub mentioned previously). What I would like to do is put a list of "mentors/adopters" on my talk page as a kind of short cut for my students, who have limited time to get things done. The semester begings Aug 6, but the real Wikipedia work wont begin until the beginning of Sept. If you would like to add your name to my list, please go to my talk page and add it there, perhaps with a short introduction, if you like.
Thank you!

Reminder to Mentor
Hola Mentors!
Im sending you this reminder because you volunteered to mentor my students in English Advanced B as they become contributing members of the Wikipedia community. We start working with Wikipedia in earnest next week. I ask you to take a look at your entry in the Mentor Table at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors
Please update the information, esp. with what your technical and informational expertise is or, if you have decided that you no longer want to participate, please remove your information from the table. Please watch the pages associated with the project. Students will contact you via your user page and as soon as my students have user pages, I will put them on the navigation bar associated with the project.
I don’t need to remind you that your job is NOT to write their assignments for them, of course. I certainly will tell my students that… and the fact that you are volunteers that don’t have to help them… so they need to be nice. If any students misbehave (tho I don’t expect it) don’t hesistate to contact me and I will take care of it. The goal of this project is to integrate successfully into the Wikipedia community. Anyway… what I really need your help with is helping students get oriented to Wikipedia, make appropriate changes and write about appropriate topics (see Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Syllabus for assignments). I also need your technical expertise… I am only an English teacher after all! I appreciate what technology does for us but I am no technical expert!

Fansites
You said: "For character reception among viewers, fansites are perhaps a better option than they appear to be. ALL these characters have been discussed in depth on concerned sites that DO voice the opinions of the viewers. Bowsy (review me!) 18:39, 21 January 2008 (UTC)"
Generally fansites are considered to NOT be Wikipedia:Reliable sources - We have some standards regarding that. Official websites, websites of publishers, and newspaper reviewers are considered to be reliable. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:07, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Also, please see Wikipedia:Verifiability - that IS official policy, while Wikipedia:RS is a guideline. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:08, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
New Semester, New Appeal
This semester I am teaching academic writing to a group of teachers at my school. This course starts on Monday Jan 28. I would like to know if you are still interesting in "mentoring". You can see the syllabus at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/SyllabusIf so, please leave a message on my talk page and update the mentor's page Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors, if . If not, please remove your name and information from that page. Thanks! Thelmadatter (talk) 00:26, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I know there are a lot here but many are very short stubs. If there are a lot of grammar mistakes, just tag it with a clean up tag. I did not require that they wikify the articles due to time. Final versions for grading purposes are due Tue Feb 5 so any help you can give would be appreciated.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Frog City and the Racing Frogs
The article Frog City and the Racing Frogs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:NB
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -Liancetalk/contribs 23:25, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers
Hi Bowsy,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
