Hello. There is no copyrighted content since the previously published content can be found on lexpractis.com which is the legal website of Joe Giglio. I uploaded the content with the permission of Joe Giglio himself. I am therefore restoring the page as it was before. Benzekre (talk) 19:02, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's still a copyright violation even if Joe Giglio gave you permission. Unless we're given explicit permission to use said content, we are not allowed to use it. Please do not restore the content. The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 19:25, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. So what can we do to give you the explicit permission to use the said content? Benzekre (talk) 19:36, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials#Granting us permission to copy material already online. Beware that even with the permission, the content will not be suitable for Wikipedia in it's current form due to our policies on proper weighting of content and advertising. Copyright problem icon Your edit to Joe Giglio has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. I just warned you. Do NOT copy and paste from the article. Even if it wasn't copyrighted, in its current form, it's not suitable for Wikipedia. The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 01:51, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I have seen that you have once again removed my editing. Please note that on this occasion, I did not mention the legal company of Joe Giglio. Furthermore, the content is much smaller as I did not copy & paste material from it. Everything is now written in different wording. From my perspective, there has been no direct or indirect advertising or copy/pasting from copyrighted material. I therefore ask you to reconsider. Thank you. Benzekre (talk) 06:25, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The4lines Kind reminder Benzekre (talk) 11:49, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping. Although you did start to rewriting some parts, most of it was still either a copy and paste from the website or a close paraphrase. I would show you the difference between the text you added and the source, but it has been deleted and I can no longer view it. You must write everything in your OWN words, you did not. Please, if you want to add to the article, please make sure that you don't take anything from the source. The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 15:07, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The4lines I have now re-written the part which was deleted. I hope it is now ok, as it took some effort to write it in my own words. Benzekre (talk) 08:00, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Devon (actress). Thank you. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 19:18, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
