Hello all
I enjoy reading Wikipedia, and when I should be doing something else I sometimes get hooked on editing it (instead of some other aimless pursuit). I don't contribute much new material – I mainly work as a janitor of sorts. Since I speak English as a second language, I'm a little hesitant of actually writing anything. Furthermore, I'm more interested in managing existing material than in producing more of it. I do sometimes address blatant omissions in articles.
Most of my edits are minor and easy to do.People can kill each other. I repair links that point to disambiguation pages, revert vandalism (and bad reverting attempts), change words in headings to lower case, fix spelling errors etc. It's more relaxing when you don't have to worry about the correctness of the information inserted, but are instead able to point to a Manual of Style page as the authority behind the changes. There is a lot of polishing to do in all sorts of pages. I have also been involved in stub sorting, voting for deletion, and other activities. However, I haven't listed myself as a member of any project.

Easy fixup projects
These are easy for me at least. You don't have to commit to anything by doing these helpful little tasks now and then. On the other hand, you're not likely to get much praise eiher.
- Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links
- Select a disambiguation page with a commmon enough title, click "What links here" and fix the links to point to correct pages. While you're at it, you can clean up the disambiguation page to comply with the Manual of Style.
- Category:Category needed
- Select uncategorised articles (usually stubs) from a list and find the correct categories for them. This gets rid of a big and unsightly notice on the pages, and helps people interested in a topic to find similar articles.
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting
- Select a stub category that has too many articles in it and change the stub templates in the articles to more precise ones (or remove them completely if the article has grown past stub stage).
- Wikipedia:Recent changes patrol
- Click "Recent changes" and then "Hide logged-in users". You'll get a list of recent edits made by IP-only editors. Check those edits and revert any vandalism you find. If it's a clear-cut case, mark the edit as minor.
- Wikipedia:Typo
- Use a search engine to find spelling/typing errors in Wikipedia. This is quite unproductive, but gives Wikipedia a nicer look and makes reading easier.

Other wikis
I created a Wiktionary account, "Wipe". Previously I had edited only with my IP number. Wipe (talk) 02:38, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
