Biography
I was born in Butte, Montana, but my family moved to Colorado when I was seven. We lived in Evergreen, Colorado for four years before moving to Denver. I grew up in downtown Denver, attending middle school at DCIS Baker, and high school at both DCIS Baker and Denver West. I was a double varsity athlete in football & track and field. I graduated in May 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, and began attending Colorado State University in fall 2020. I was originally a business major before I quickly realized it wasn't for me, and changed my major to journalism and communications with a sports management minor in order to focus on sports journalism, broadcasting and reporting.
I'm using Wikipedia as mostly a hobby as I find it enjoyable to write about sports. It's also good practice for writing with factual accuracy. I hope that this user page may possibly be part of a resume upon my graduation from Colorado State University in 2024.
My username, Porterland, is based on my last name, Porter.
