I originally came to Wikipedia very close to its announcement, read some stuff, and moved on.

I came back to bang on some articles, correct grammatical flaws without touching content in other articles, and read about all the other stuff.

Alas, Wikipedia has become, in my opinion, a fundamentally inhospitable place. The strong deletionist tendencies of the current movers-and-shakers is, in my mind, fundamentally irreconcilable with the infinite-paper nature of the medium, and as such I feel I cannot in good conscience continue to contribute to Wikipedia in any meaningful form. Perhaps one day it will once again become the open font of knowledge it once was.
