MacronMonitor is a bot account that monitors recent changes for edits that remove macrons.

Watchlist the alerts page to get notified when someone removes a macron from an article anywhere in English Wikipedia.

This bot is built and maintained by User:Cloventt. And is found on GitHub here.

Alerts are generated for edits that:

• remove macrons on WPNZ articles (can be a bit noisy)
• delete macrons when wlinking to WPNZ articles (eg [[Taupō|Taupo]])
• contain a common te reo Māori word that has been misspelled without macrons (anywhere on Wikipedia)
