Hello! I'm an editor who lurks in the Community Portal and Recent changes list. I also browse Wikipedia, as it keeps me from doing anything productive while making me feel like I'm learning something.
I also fix grammar mistakes, and revert really big mistakes. If I feel that editing something by myself isn't going to be enough, or my schedule cannot allow me to edit an article (or if I'm too exhausted to edit), I tag it with Twinkle.
Another thing I like to do is try to thwart unhelpful, non-constructive, and otherwise vandalous edits with RedWarn. Yes, I am aware Ultraviolet is already out, but I feel as though it is not stable enough to be used on a daily basis. Also, Ultraviolet seems to be lacking in features that RedWarn has, some of which I use. But I digress.
I edit Wikipedia. You should too. Be a Wikipedian.
Things I do:
- Snipe vandals w/ Twinkle
- Snipe vandals w/ RedWarn
- Copyediting
- Looks for citations to curb that dreaded {{cn}} mark[citation needed]
- Avoiding schoolwork by doing everything you see above.
Essentially, I find myself to be a basic editor. I don't edit a substantial amount of information due to time constraints, but I still like to think that I'm doing something. Maybe I could be described as a gnome, but I see myself as someone who keeps falling into rabbit holes. A lot.
Oh, and I thank editors for edits that I was not able to do using that little thank button at the end of the contribution history.
Did I do something wrong?
"Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth?"
Call Gordon Ramsay then, because this is Kitchen Nightmares.
I'm a bit trigger-happy when it comes to doing things, so I may screw something up every once in a while. In the case of this happening, just post on my Talk Page stating that I did something wrong. I don't really catch my own errors (even when checking over my work), so link the revision and describe the error in detail.
