Science Fiction/Fantasy: I read a lot and retain a lot of useless facts from somewhat obscure series. I also read author commentaries and biographies.
History: Eclectic interest that includes ancient natural disasters, Greek and Roman accomplishments/mistakes, the early Christian church, renaissance scientists, the industrial revolution, imperialism, colonial independence, World War II, and how people have interacted with the natural world throughout time.
