Hello!

I became active in the Wikipedia Project for some time before I created my account.
My activity in Wikipedia is to create and expand articles and categories. I create and translate articles; sometimes large, sometimes short ones which I leave for those with greater knowledge or ability to develop further, and in parallel, I myself develop short articles others have created.
In connection to that, I have developed and expanded the categorization system when needed.
Basically, I write about what I like to read, often subjects I have looked for in Wikipedia, but was unable to find. To write in Wikipedia is a method for me to remember knowledge, and a way for me to get my mind off other things.
To me, the Wikipedia Project is a symbol of the potential of the Internet to spread and globalize knowledge. This is especially true when it comes to the English language version of Wikipedia, which can truly be seen as the perhaps most global of all versions. I myself have written articles about the information that I was previously unable to find on the internet in any other language than the country of its origin, and I am proud to be a part of that globalization of knowledge.
My subjects have primarily been the history of women prior to 1900, and most of my articles have been biographies of women of history prior to 1900. Since the start of my activity here, I have noticed the lack of women's biographies, especially historic ones, and one of my goals has been to create biographies of notable women from each country worldwide prior to the 20th-century. I have created a large number of women's biographies from non English language European countries prior to the 20th-century, especially when it comes to the Nordic countries. How many can be seen in my contribution history. I am proud to have been a part of this spreading of knowledge.
I am not going to write specifics about myself, as I believe in the benefits of anonymity and appreciate its advantages, but I am a European, I have a knowledge of history, and I encourage everyone not to make the mistake of assuming that someone who does not reveal their gender is a male.
I must say, that during all my time as a contributor to Wikipedia, I have never come across a greater obstacle to a good encyclopedia than personal prestige and pride. Please think about this.

Thanks so much for your leadership and efforts to make the List of women printers and publishers before 1800 page really great, from the reframing the article title and scope - and expanding the list! Excellent work with your edits and the creation of English articles... as well as finding other women printers... from articles in other languages! Very smart idea. –CaroleHenson (talk) 03:12, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
Congrats for standing up against the kind of people who start removing things but have an argument that is subjective. Those are the worst kinds of disputes to deal with, because you cannot just continue reverting away like if they did not specify any edit summaries. RPI2026F1 (talk) 02:26, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
