University Living is a student housing marketplace headquartered in Noida, India.[1] Founded in 2015, the platform operates in several countries, including India, the UK, the US, and Australia.[2][3]

History

Saurabh Arora and Mayank Maheshwari founded University Living in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in 2015.

The platform was created to assist students in finding hostels and accommodation in various countries.[4]

In 2018, the company received pre-series A funding from Indian Angel Network (IAN) and LetsVenture.[5]

In 2023, University Living launched StudentAccommodationGPT[6] and Study Abroad Buddy.[7]

In March 2024, the company introduced the third edition of its social scholarship program[8][9] to provide financial support to Indian students pursuing education in countries like the United Kingdom and Australia.[10]

By 2024, the company was offering two million beds across 65,000 properties in 515 educational hubs worldwide.[1]

Partnership & acquisition

In January 2023, University Living partnered with One Vasco to assist with student visa applications.[11] In May 2023, the company partnered with Nottingham Trent University to provide £5000 social scholarships to Indian students enrolling at the university.[12]

In October 2023, University Living and Londonist launched Uninist, a platform for student housing.[13] In February 2024, the company partnered with Pearson PTE to provide accommodation, financial services, and logistical assistance for Indian students studying abroad.[14][1]

In June 2024, University Living acquired a 51% stake in UK-based StudentTenant.[15]

Awards

In 2023, the company received the Cross Border Business Growth Award from Entrepreneur magazine.[16]
