- I would recommend against this change without there is some sort of testing that proves that it works. That is why we have ~/testcases pages; proper testing would have caught that error.

Thanks for the advice, I have now made fixed changes to the sandbox and results can be seen in Template:IMDb name/testcases. The only testcases that don't pass are where the new behavior takes effect, so I believe this is a success. Aaron Liu (talk) 00:19, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

Fix link to redirect at "IMDb name at IMDb" - IMDb links to IMDb (identifier) instead of IMDb. Eurohunter (talk) 16:24, 12 June 2023 (UTC) Eurohunter (talk) 16:24, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Not done. The purpose of
IMDb (identifier)
in this template is to prevent this template, used in ~152,000 articles from contaminating Special:WhatLinksHere/IMDb. Similar redirects exist for|isbn=
,|pmc=
,|doi=
, etc parameters in cs1|2 templates (and the matchingISBN
,PMC
,DOI
, etc templates). - —Trappist the monk (talk) 16:55, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Another editor inappropriately changed
IMDb
toIMDb
. I have restored the redirect. - —Trappist the monk (talk) 00:55, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
