This page has all the appearance of a personally created vanity page and lacks any major notable details warranting a dedicated Wiki 92.15.12.92 (talk) 15:16, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did not create or submit this entry, although I am its subject. So it is not a 'personally created vanity page'.However I am attempting to improve it Ruariabu (talk) 18:26, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. If you you feel the title should be retained, then you should contribute to the (active and ongoing) discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roderick O'Donnell. Your comment here is unlikely to be considered as part of that discussion.
You should also read WP:COI. (You have already at least partially met one element of that guideline. Specifically: WP:DCOI).
Thanks:I suggest you remove the 'personal vanity ' reference & stick to 'lacks any major notable details' criterion. 78.151.221.166 (talk) 21:36, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
He-who-proposes deletion has 'a personally, created vanity page' As the person referred to,I did not create this entry. 78.151.221.166 (talk) 12:14, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. RE:
"He-who-proposes deletion has 'a personally created vanity page'". I, as you can, can read that statement on this article talk page. However, just to be clear and per my previous note, THIS is not a (or the) deletion discussion page. The deletion discussion is taking place, where it should, at: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roderick O'Donnell. You have not contributed to the (actual) deletion discussion. You will note that no participants in the (actual) deletion discussion have mentioned "vanity".
"suggest you remove the 'personal vanity' reference". You've (now) repeatedly stated that you didn't create the article. That is recorded. Asking a random anonymous contributor to recant their statement (or whatever you're expecting to happen) is unlikely and unnecessary.
"I am its subject [..signed..] Ruariabu" / "[I am] the person referred to [..signed..] 78.151.221.166". You appear to be contributing to this article talk page under multiple guises. Editors would ideally avoid editing while logged out. Or from multiple profiles. If you've created a profile, you should probably use it. Not least to (a) avoid exposing your IP address and (b) ensure that other editors (like me) can recognise whether they are in a discussion with multiple contributors. Or just one. It's confusing.
