Talk:Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

Arena name

As of right now, the arena is still officially named the Gund Arena. Its stays that way until the City of Cleveland approves it and currently there are issues over the logo. I say put it back until its official. Secondly, is anyone really calling it "the Q" or is it just that wishes of Dan Gilbert? http://www.cleveland.com/sports/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/sports/1123407175212320.xml&coll=2 ccwaters 22:14, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The change was made official in mid-September so we are in the clear on this. From my experience locals might call the arena "the Q" but most do so wryly or sarcastically since the general feeling is that it's kind of lame for them to give the arena it's own nickname. There will likely be a period of time before we can say for sure whether "The Q" nickname will stick or not. Given that the letter is reportedly given prominence on a lot of the signage and that most of the local sportscasters who call the games for the Cavs will likely be instructed to call it "The Q" as much as possible, I think it's likely to catch on (although I am personally pushing for "The QLA").20:11, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

Suite number change:

There are only only 88 suites in The Q, not 92. Four were demolished and the space used to expand the VIP Club on the Huntington Bank Club Level for the start of the 2003–2004 season.

Controversial Incident

The fact of the matter is "fuck" is what he said. If one is to allow "shit" to slide in the preceding line, "fuck" must stay.

Fair use rationale for Image:QuickenLoansArenaLogo.jpg

Image:QuickenLoansArenaLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Renovations

The article says that Cavs' owner Dan Gilbert installed the 2005 renovations. Did he pay for them or did he have the taxpayers pay for them through the Gateway Economic Development Corporation? Does anybody know? Gateway is the, imho, toothless public/private watchdog agency of the arena and adjacent baseball stadium. Hanksummers (talk) 01:19, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
