Malermi's "work is not strictly a translation, but a revision of earlier versions to bring them closer to the Vulgate and incidentally to make their language less Tuscan and more Venetian."[1] It seems to me that this indicates that Malermi's was not the first Italian translation of the Bible, but I haven't found any sources for earlier Italian Bibles. - (Beanland (talk) 18:19, 19 April 2017 (UTC))[reply]
