Irish restaurants?
This appears to be, a very short, list of Irish themed restaurants in the United States rather than a list of Irish restaurants.
I think it should either be renamed or deleted entirely. -- Boreas74 You'll catch more flies with honey 00:01, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- If none of the restaurants served Irish cuisine, then the move makes sense. However, I assume there are some other notable Irish themed establishments outside the U.S., so I propose removing mention of United States in the title once the list is expanded as such (List of Irish themed restaurants). ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:01, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Actually, O'Neill's is not U.S.-specific, so I'm moved the page to List of Irish themed restaurants. ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:52, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
Requested move 26 December 2024
List of Irish-themed restaurants → List of Irish restaurants – This is, or should be, a list of notable restaurants serving Irish cuisine that's consistent with similar lists in Category:European restaurants and Template:Lists of restaurants (See "By cuisine"). Starting a discussion given past page move. --Another Believer (Talk) 04:49, 26 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ASUKITE 16:19, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- I was tempted treat this as a technical request as it seems uncontroversial, but then I saw @Boreas74 did move it under the rationale that it did not list any Irish restaurants, which I believe refers to their physical location or nationality rather than cuisine. To help this along, I believe I weakly support this, as along with other cuisines such as "Italian restaurants", it is typical to refer to the restaurant by the location of its cuisine rather than its physical location, so this seems reasonable to me (hopefully I didn't misinterpret that! I guess the question here will be whether those locations actually do serve "Irish" cuisine, so I'm changing this to weak support as I am unsure personally) ASUKITE 16:17, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

- Support. If anybody down the road decides to create List of restaurants in Ireland, then add a hatnote. 162 etc. (talk) 17:00, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support per nom. It is generally understood that an Irish restaurant need not be in Ireland, and a Mexican restaurant need not be in Mexico. The designation refers to the cuisine.--AmateurHi$torian (talk) 18:17, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Comment Irish-themed pubs/restaurants are a thing. The theming might just consist of having some Irish drinks and Irish decor (e.g. vintage Guinness ads). If this is moved, the entries should be scrutinized. I've never been in a Beef O'Brady's, but the only thing remotely Irish on their menu is fish & chips, and they don't even serve Guinness. I don't know if they have Irish decor. It is certainly not an Irish restaurant and may not even be an Irish-themed restaurant (apart from the somewhat Irish name). - Totally agree re: scrutiny of entries. The list should only include notable restaurants known for serving Irish cuisine, similar to the many other lists of restaurants by cuisine. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:58, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
