Talk:LGBTQ in Mexico (disambiguation)
Requested move 9 January 2025
LGBTQ in Mexico (disambiguation) → LGBTQ topics in Mexico – Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBTQ+ studies/Standardizing 'by country' articles suggests turning these "LGBTQ in" disambiguation pages into "LGBTQ topics in" set index articles. This happened in LGBTQ topics in Chile, LGBTQ topics in the United States, and LGBTQ in Russia. This expands the scope to list other topics. --MikutoH talk! 21:52, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support per proposal. ForsythiaJo (talk) 21:55, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I got a notification that I was mentioned here, but I don't see my name. Do y'all need something? JuxtaposedJacob (talk) | :) | he/him | 21:56, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I think it's because the initial post on this page included a transclusion of the entire WikiProject LGBTQ+ talk page, including signatures of anyone that posted there. This was addressed in Special:Diff/1268455998, but unfortunately you can't unsend a ping. signed, Rosguill talk 00:01, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

- Oppose move; delete instead - I don't see where creating set index articles at "LGBTQ topics in foo" was ever discussed. The standardization proposed was creating a WP:BROADCONCEPT article at "LGBTQ people in foo" for each country (e.g., LGBTQ people in Mexico). Set indexes and broad concept articles apply in different situations, and the latter is appropriate here. Neither a DAB nor a set index is required when there is a BCA to provide an overview with links to the subtopics.--Trystan (talk) 23:55, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- So we can merge the already existing set indexes into outline of LGBTQ topics or their corresponding broad topic articles, if existing? --MikutoH talk! 00:48, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if formal merges are needed, but I agree any relevant articles should be covered in summary-style in the broad-concept article, and listed at the appropriate portion of Outline of LGBTQ topics if not already there.--Trystan (talk) 01:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

- Support LGBTQ topics in Mexico or LGBTQ people in Mexico, as needed. Lewisguile (talk) 07:26, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
Not sure exactly what the question is here but I'm here due to being pinged. I support using LGBTQ+ as standard as pages relating to non-heterosexual and non-cis matters. Helper201 (talk) 01:21, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
