I'm just leaving this as a note of explanation for future reference. There's more than one place in Xinjiang with the name "كۆكيار" (variously transliterated into Chinese characters) and reading the description on this page, I placed it as the Kokyar of Kargilik County. There's another Kokyar in Keriya County and maybe more. The problem is is that there is a paucity of reliable information about the region hence leading to all kinds of mistakes.
