Talk:Hromada

How is this a viable article?

How is this an viable article for an english-language encyclopedia? Speedy delete?--tufkaa 21:24, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also Polish

pl:Gromada is also a term for Polish (and possibly Ukrainian?) administrative unit.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  00:17, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In Ukraine, such term is mentioned in the Constitution, but its present legal meaning is not clearly stated.Ans-mo 07:01, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gromada

Gromada currently redirects here, I'd like to change the redirect into a translation of the above mentioned Polish administrative term from pl wiki. Any comments? -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  00:32, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it is needed a disambiguation page, redirecting to several related articles?Ans-mo 08:27, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've now written a separate article for Gromada (re Poland) and replaced a redirect with a link to here.--Kotniski 09:33, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Good work.--Riurik(discuss) 20:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger reverted

I came across this merger following a discussion at WP:P-NUK. I've reverted it, and restored this article. The reason is simple. The merger conflated the 'hromada', which is a longstanding administrative unit in Ukraine consisting of the like of cities and rural councils, with the new united territorial communities, or 'amalgamated hromadas'. These two things are not the same, and the distinction should be maintained. At present, I think the best title for this article is "United territorial communities", given that Google searches return many more results for this name (50,000 hits) than the other potential names. Move discussion in progress

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Amalgamated hromada which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 17:20, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
