The article contains false information about the origin of the dance move. Psy did NOT create it, he copied it from one of the most famous YouTube video from last decade, the "Evolution of Dance" posted by Judson Laipply in 2006 (6 years before Gangnam Style). The move is shown at 2:51. Source = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg — Preceding unsigned comment added by HistoryReminder (talk • contribs) 20:51, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The animation on page is not correct. The dance move is so powerful because you jump with both feets together. In the MV, you can see how PSY and a few others does it right but many of the co-actors didn't get it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.228.38.100 (talk) 23:11, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Question About Composers
This is more of a question about Korean naming etiquette than anything else. IMDb has an entry for Hyung Kwan Yoo that purports he is a "writer" of Gangnam Style. Yoo Gun-hyung is confirmed as one of the writers (over a range of reliable sources). Given the similarity of these names Hyung Kwan Yoo versus Yoo Gun-hyung, are they in fact the same person? sugarfish (talk) 07:16, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Korean given names won't flip the order of syllables. So "Hyung Kwan" or "Hyung-kwan" is not the same as "Kwan Hyung"; also not the same as "Gun-Hyung". Google says they have different native names - "유형관" vs "유건형". So no, this cannot be the same person. Evaders99 (talk) 08:05, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
