The original BBC iPlayer programme here is no longer available. There is a copy here. Burdon makes the claim at approx. 1:23. Perhaps it's a fiction. Perhaps there is a better source. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:21, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Outstanding Performer
Eric Burdon is an outstanding performer. There's no doubt about it and it never was. He is very unique in his distinctiveness. There's is no intention of mine to behave myself libellous or to deny something great. It isn't so and it never was! HighwayDealer (talk) 13:52, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Discrepancy in regards to the owner of "The Animals" name
This article makes the claim that Eric Burdon became the owner of the name "The Animals" after an appeal. But if you look on the wiki for John Steel (drummer) it says that his appeal gave both parties rights to use the name, it doesn't say anything about the appeal shifting ownership in either direction. As someone who isn't well-versed in legalese, who tried to read the source without getting closer to understanding it I'm left wondering who's right? Surely one of the pages must be incorrect.

I think the John Steel (drummer) article is more accurate. I think, following the 2013 appeal, they now both have joint ownership, so I have altered the article text here. But I agree the sources are a bit hard to understand. So a second opinion would be welcomed. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:10, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
