Berlin (2023 film)Berlin (film) – Per Berlin (disambiguation)#Film and television, this seems to be the only "film" subject specifically named "Berlin". The other film topic listed there, Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis, doesn't seem to use "Berlin" in any context, even as a subtitle. Steel1943 (talk) 22:16, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: Regarding Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis, I'm not sure what you mean by "even as a subtitle"? Do you mean as a shorthand, like calling it just Berlin? I see this having just Berlin on a high level. This has the film's full title in the article title, but in the text itself, it seems to be just Berlin shorthand, which makes sense. (There are other sources out there about the 1927 film, if we need to look further.) I feel like Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis should be understood as a WP:NATURAL disambiguation, where it could have been Berlin (1927 film) in another time, and that this 2023 film should still have some disambiguation to have distinction established. It's not really worth the shaving-off of four characters and a space, which introduces potential ambiguity. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 22:41, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Erik. Also the 2023 film has 8,529 views but the 1927 one has 778[[1]] which I don't think is enough for a PDAB especially when the 2023 one is clearly more recent. And yes similar to Talk:Star Trek (2009 film)#Requested move 3 May 2024 the text "Berlin" is clearly in the image in large text while the apparent subtitle "Die Sinfonie der Großstadt" is shown below in smaller text so I'd argue even if its not a subtitle given that the English (sub)title isn't even used in the picture I'd argue that this title is likely to be ambiguous in English.
