This article remains unfinished
There is an absence of detailed, factual information concerning this museum's holdings, historically and at present. Also, what is the history of the building, along with everything else one might find in a WP article about a major museum? Is this even a major museum? The SJW emphasis of the article constitutes undue emphasis, and seems to have killed off any further interest in improving it. Is there any shortage of WP:Reliable source coverage of this institution?--Quisqualis (talk) 17:48, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Palestine controversy section
Yesterday (3 January 2024), the Australian Museum released an update statement stating that after consultation with the exhibition's curator, they will not modify the text regarding the term “Palestine”, see https://australian.museum/about/organisation/media-centre/ramses-text-panel-statement/. I haven't seen this latest update covered in any other news outlets yet, other than the initial SMH article already referenced in the article's controversy section.
@Trenchist: since you added this section. Also, welcome to Wikipedia, please feel free to have a read of Help:Getting started if you're interested. Fork99 (talk) 11:27, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Fork99. I've updated the page with the new information from that source. Trenchist (talk) 09:36, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
