Lean vs. Agile
I believe that the community driving the methodologies sees lean as describing principles, while agile describes practices. Consider [1] which translates lean principles into the software development domain and provides tools to derive practices from that.
In this regard, and since the term lean has a controversial reputation, I belive that the use of agile in the context of manufacturing should either relate to specific practices, or else it is suspicious of a marketing trick.
