Requested move
- A Ladder To Heaven → A Ladder to Heaven – Just a simple capitilisation regarding episode names, I've only listed it at requested moves because A Ladder to Heaven has edit history so I can't move it myself. I am following the wikiproject for television episodes guidelines Discordance 02:41, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

- Support as well;
will perform this move. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 18:25, 16 January 2006 (UTC)- I see now what Discordance meant by being unable to move it himself, it appears this must be done by an administrator. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 18:26, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
I'm sure it will be non-controversial, so I moved it. To do so, I deleted the redirect, which had this in its history:
- Original air Date: 2002-11-06
- The boys have to find a way to reach Kenny before they lose their chance at untold candy riches; and what better way to achieve this than a ladder to heaven – because Kenny’s dead. Said ladder quickly becomes a national sensation, leading to lame (redundant, I know) country songs and the usual government intervention. Will the boys succeed? In a word or two: sort of.

Fair use rationale for Image:Ep612 image 15.jpg
Image:Ep612 image 15.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Uncited material
Uncited material;
- When Cartman sees things through Kenny's eyes, the scenes are similar to scenes in Being John Malkovich.
- The race to Heaven between Japan and the US in this episode is comparable to the Space Race between the US and the USSR. The Japanese ladder to Heaven resembles a space elevator. Coincidentally, one of the main themes in the 2008 anime, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, is the existence of three orbital elevators which functions as both a space elevator and a solar power satellite.
- Bombing Heaven is a parody to the Iraq disarmament crisis.
- When the townsfolk gather around the ladder and sing is similar to the townsfolk in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!"
- When the boys build the ladder to reach above the clouds, Stan mentions the lack of the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. This is preceded by another observation: that the boys have not seen Cloud City from The Empire Strikes Back yet, either.
- The creators were spoofing America's sensitive emotions (and the exploitation of said emotions) widely observed around the 1-year anniversary of 9/11 through their caricature of Alan Jackson.
- Japan's staging of reaching heaven in order to win the “race to heaven” is comparable to the discredited belief that the United States actually shot the moon landing in a studio in order to win the Space Race.
- The golden ticket is a reference to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as is the prize.
- The vague photographs with military installations indicated by the military and shown to the president are a reference to vague images used in the Rationale for the Iraq war.

In the news report, telling about Japan's fake victory in Ladder Race, when the set falls over some katakana symbols on the back wall near the door are revealed. Do they mean something91.185.240.215 (talk) 07:52, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
