I think the first sentence is incorrect. Apolipoprotein A-5 is not a gene. I think the first reference cited has been misinterpreted when it reads, "Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5) is a newly described member of the apolipoprotein gene family" - this merely means it belongs to the same genetic family of proteins. Apo A-5 is a lipoprotein that affects the levels of plasma triglycerides. This should be amended. Epetai (talk) 19:14, 20 May 2009 (UTC) |
