Bill France versus the world

Didn't NASCAR have a beef with AAA over sanctioning? IIRC, AAA considered them "outlaw" racers. (Or was that SCORE...?) A Slight Underdog up, up & away!! 17:22, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

im not sure about France... Im not sure what IIRC is but AAA would definitely suspend drivers for racing in non AAA sanctioned races, especially in the early years (pre 1940). i read the nascar article and it seems that france asked AAA in 1947 to sanction the stock car series but they declined and that seems the end of AAA's connection with nascar.... if you have anymore information Id love to hear it.Ehall317 (talk) 20:52, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
