The result of the move request was: moved. Protests to oust an incumbent and calling for early election in parliamentary democracies doesn't really indicate a political crises by default. No reference on this article indicate that events in 2020 were a part of this. Going the unilateral mover's arguments and the greater input achieved at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2020–2022 Pakistani political crises, it is pretty clear that there is consensus in favour of the proposed move. 2020–2022 Pakistani political crises → 2022 Pakistani political crises – As discussed in the deletion discussion: this article does not cite sources that describe a crisis that started in 2020, but the title informs that year. There is also nothing in the text of the article that states that a crisis began in 2020. Fontaine347 (talk) 18:57, 16 July 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! - What source says this? The article does not contain .--Fontaine347 (talk) 15:40, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support All the article mentions is 2022. Nothing related to 2020 and 2021. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:35, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- pinging User:Panam2014 who moved the article to current title. Maybe they can shed light on it. —usernamekiran (talk) 07:14, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- @WikiCleanerMan, Usernamekiran, and Fontaine347: Pakistan Democratic Movement organises protests since 2020 to oust Imran Khan and called for early election. We need an article 2020-22 Pakistan protests. Panam2014 (talk) 23:48, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
OR
@CX Zoom and Masterpha: an article about 2020-22 protests is needed. After that, non confidence mention and constitutional crisis are the same subject. For crisis in Punjab and Federal Parliament, we need sources to relie the 2 events. Same for other provinces. Panam2014 (talk) 22:48, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: Sure, you can do that. You can even change the scope of this article to 2020–2022 and then move it, but currently no reference in this article consider events of 2020 a part of this crises. This article doesn't even talk about 2020. Changing the article title alone wouldn't help, you need to change the article body too, which needs to be supported by references. Remember No original research. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 06:13, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
@Panam2014: I disagree. The events of 2022 are very distant from the events of 2020. We should not conflate them. маsтегрнатаLк 18:12, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Masterpha: we need an additionnal article about 2020-22 protests which ended by Imran's removal. Also, constitutional crisis and non confidence motion are the same crisis and we need sources that crisis in Islamabad and Punjab are the same crisis. Panam2014 (talk) 21:20, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- I'll defer to Masterpha on this one. See, it doesn't look like 2020's events are a part of 2022's events. Add a background section, may be, providing a brief history. But apart from that I don't see any reason to have an article "2020-22". In any case the previous title is a redirect to this page, so anyone searching for that wouldn't be lost. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {C•X}) 07:39, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
