there are rumours that the other five (Suhbat Abdullaev, Akbar Aliev, Abdullo Tojiboy Ogli, Akhtam Shoymardonov and Jahongir Shosalimov) have been pressured into running to make Uzbekistan appear more democratic than it really is.
It was a scam, and you all know it - so why pretending?
In the News section has this as "Islom Karimov is re-elected President of Uzbekistan" while in reality Islom Karimov re-selected himself as the President of Uzbekistan, and for the sake of neutrality, this should be along the lines of "Islom Karimov is announced to be re-elected President of Uzbekistan." --HanzoHattori (talk) 13:34, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
