Pravaig

Pravaig is an Indian deep-tech mobility company based in Bengaluru. It was founded in 2011 in Jaipur, India.[1] Over the years, the company has developed numerous prototypes, including a Dakar Rally-style vehicle built to FIA Group T1 regulations.[2] In 2019, Pravaig moved to Bengaluru and established a facility at the KIADB Hi-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park.[3]

After releasing the Extinction MK-1 and Extinction MK-II prototypes, Pravaig unveiled the DEFY and the VEER in New Delhi in November 2022.[4][5][6] The DEFY is an SUV with a range of 500km, powered by dual motors that generate more than 600 Nm of torque.[7] The interiors of the DEFY are lined with sustainable fabrics made from recycled materials, such as PET, and feature vegan leather upholstery.[8] The VEER, an SUV designed for defense forces, includes features such as a thermal imaging sensor, airlift hooks, a winch, and a tow hitch.[9]

Pravaig provides energy storage solutions (ESS) and Field Pack batteries to clients, including the French renewable energy company Eren Groupe [fr], solar farms in Greece, and combat forces in Europe.[10][11][12] Speculation about a potential collaboration with Renault arose after an article featured a Renault Kiger vehicle with a red number plate at Pravaig’s headquarters, suggesting that the company might be working with Renault on its electrification efforts.[13]

At the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit in New Delhi in July 2023, Pravaig signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi India Venture Studio to manufacture electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia.[14][15] The company has also expanded into lifestyle products, launching AI-designed cufflinks inspired by Indian heritage, such as those commemorating the Kedarnath Mandir and Ram Mandir.[16]

Pravaig has recruited non-resident Indians and experienced professionals from companies such as Airbus, Intel, and Tesla.[17][18] In May 2024, following Tesla's rescinding of offers extended to interns, Pravaig offered to interview these interns to explore opportunities for them within the company.[19]
