Justus Ross-Simmons is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the Syracuse Orange. He previously played for the Colorado State Rams.
Early life and high school
Ross-Simmons grew up in Rochester, New York and attended high school at East High School before transferring to Inglewood High School in Inglewood, California.[1] Coming out of high school, Ross-Simmons was rated as a two star recruit where he decided to commit to play college football for the Colorado State Rams.[2][3]
College career
Colorado State
In Ross-Simmons' freshman season in 2022, he hauled in 26 receptions for 426 yards and three touchdowns.[4] In week one of the 2023 season, Ross-Simmons notched five catches for 123 yards and a touchdown versus Washington State.[5] In the 2023 season, Ross-Simmons had a breakout season notching 45 receptions for 724 yards and three touchdowns.[6] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Ross-Simmons decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[7][8]
Syracuse
Ross-Simmons transferred to Syracuse Orange on April 24, 2024, to move closer to family.[9][10] Ross-Simmons was sidelined for the fist half the season with an injury, and got his first start against Virginia Tech. He caught his first-ever reception for the Orange for a 55-yard touchdown and caught a 28-yard touchdown in the 4th quarter to give the Orange their first lead of the day.[11][12]
