India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd (IYM) is the Indian subsidiary of the Yamaha Motor Company, a producer of motorcycles and other motorized products. The company was established in 2001 and is headquartered in Surajpur, India.
History
India Yamaha Motor began operations in 1985 as a joint venture between Yamaha Motor Company and an Indian partner, Escorts. In 2001, Yamaha Motor Company took complete control of its Indian operations, renaming it India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.[1]
