English: Ynares Center[1] is an indoor sporting arena[2] located in Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines. The arena was built at a cost of P350 million. The coliseum was constructed in a 5-hectare lot located at the heart of the City of Antipolo. This is the current landmark in the province where PBA games and big concerts are held regularly. This is also the site of the 100th Foundation Anniversary Celebration of the province. It has also hosted international events, such as the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. It was the home court of the Pasig-Rizal Pirates of the Metropolitan Basketball Association in 2000.[3] - [4] Antipolo (officially: City of Antipolo, Filipino: Lungsod ng Antipolo) is a city in the Philippines located in the province of Rizal; about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of Manila. It is the largest city in the CALABARZON Region. It is also the seventh most populous city in the country with a population of 633,971 in 2007. Antipolo local elections, 2013[5] --- This place is situated in Rizal, Region 4, Philippines, its geographical coordinates are 14° 35' 11" North, 121° 10' 31" East and its original name (with diacritics) is Antipolo. Governor Dr. Casimiro Ynares III on June 17, 2008 announced the transfer of the Capitol from Pasig. Its P 270-million capitol building, constructed in Antipolo by Ortigas & Co., owner thereof, was completed by December. Built on 5-hectare lot at the Ynares Center, it employs 2,008 employees. The New Capitol was successfully inaugurated on March 4, 2009, bringing back the Capitol Building inside the provincial territory, from which it was absent for 33 years (when Pasig was incorporated into Metro Manila).Rizal capitol to be transferred to Antipolo June 17, 2008 AusAID grants P 68M for Rizal schools’ construction 1st of July 2013.
